Those are really interesting tires, sort of like the Mr. T mohawk of tires. The center looks like a Proline Trencher pattern.

That turned out really nice! I've never seen a Blackfoot Sassy Chassis before.

My biggest concern with a vintage Blackfoot is the hex shaped dogbone setup wearing out. The rerelease Blackfoot has been changed to the more reliable pin style dogbone setup.

I've used the 427 motor in a 4wd Turbo Optima. It was a fast enough for me (25+ years ago) but today that looks like a great condition collector's motor. Mine ended with the coming loose from the rest of the armature. I'm not sure how that happened, but it's the only motor I had that ever did that. ...

One project wrapped up, mostly 😉. I've got some aluminum wheels for it that need 2" tires. I'm thinking a set of Schumacher T650 spikes are just the ticket. The OEM tires are just too blah. Now there's proper Competition All Terrain tires on it. Yard squirrel hunting time! :mrgreen: . 10000094...

There's some 'multi-tasking' with other projects stealing time from this one, but it's still moving forward. I'm 95% sure I've got the the front suspension and steering sorted out so I reached out to Mr. Factory Works for some assistance with the front brace and the rear suspension. Some mighty fine...

If it stayed stock, I wouldn't see a need for a more powerful motor. That would be phase 2, if warrented by improvements in steering and suspension.
