Re: Greetings from Mass, USA
Welcome! For an RC10 runner with a 6 gear trans, the outdrive bearing mod seems like a must do to me. The original bearing setup with the outdrives seems like it gets sloppy/floppy and I worry about the outdrive metal gears then chewing up the nylon idler gears. I do the mod just by adding the beari...

Re: Greetings from Mass, USA
The outdrive bearing mod is actually adding bearings in a location that the 6 gear doesn't normally have bearings. Do you have pictures of this? Instead of an outer support bearing, each 6 gear outdrive has interal bearings and an outer felt seal + seal retainer. Replacing the felt seal + retainer ...

Franken Dead Pool DS-ish Car, restomod version
I'm really not interested is trying to make a faithful replica of anyone else's car, but the Dead Pool RC10 is a street based RC10 with my favorite Corvette body so I definitely need one as a runner (probably without real explosive charge, even though that would be so cool!). This is kind of a perfe...

Re: Project Hyper Hornet
The Hyper Hornet front suspension took a step forward. The front end has been modified to fit the front shock tower mount block. . 1000010756.jpg . I'm not sure if I want to use the CRP shock tower and upper control links. The chassis would need more trimming for clearance that would weaken the fron...

Re: Project Hyper Hornet
Dadio made a nice conversation kit using RC10 front arms. I might eventually go that direction, but I'm not quite there yet. I need to fumble around a bit with this inferior setup first. Once I get the steering servo centered and the steering geometry sort of consistent with suspension movement, the...

I think that is the typical loop hole that benefits out of state shoppers.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
My son and I did some monster trucking this evening. He had the Clod and I had the Mystery Machine. The Clod is a pretty intimidating beast when it comes charging your way! 😂 I did my best not to let the Lunch Box get bullied, but he definitely owned the 2-way ramp in the driveway and the grass arou...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Today, for the first time in years, I pulled the B3 off the shelf, blew the dust off, fitted some electronics (Reedy 3300kV, Reedy SC600BL, XP servo, Futaba clone Rx), and drove it around the track for a few laps. What a car! That's a good looking B3! Around the track? Like your own personal at hom...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
At least your B3 has a normal rear wing. The previous owner of my B2 must have felt like you can never have too big of a wing.
I need to trim it down a bit, but that hasn't been a priority.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I don't know anything about what model body shell it is or who painted it. The painter was definitely skilled, but should have immediately objected to this huge wing and refused to paint it. I picked up this B2 because I figured they might get harder to find in the future and it was a reasonab...
