Re: RC Top Faux Buff CAT 10

Wing is done. It needed a painted wing. Clear was just too invisible.

Re: Vintage Trinity Commutator Lathe (for stock motors)

A lot of motors have spring posts that are not removable. They basically are a rivet style attachment. The earlier stock motors were not intended to be disassembled for rebuilding, so many have permanently installed spring posts. The one on the right in this picture was broken off.

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?

Personally, I'm glad that I have the opportunity to purchase a new 10T at a reasonable, non-scalper price. In my hording pile, I have a restoration candidate 10T that's been waiting it's turn. The box looks like it was used for BB gun practice. Having a new truck that doesn't need special attention ...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

I do cheat and use a digital set more and more, but I like my Brown and Sharpe best. I bought these 28yrs ago while working in a machine shop.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I've been looking for a Parma modified with their weird can and endbell. Valkyrie RC had one and accepted a reasonable price. Now I can quit looking for Parma motors. 😁

Re: FanRC Complete Graphite Worlds Kit (Slider)

AE would do a little better. They would include wheels  ...oh, and the fancy replica box too. But otherwise no, the AE kit probably couldn't be any nicer. Now if AE did the coffin chassis....

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Starting to shape the mini chassis. My front tab idea wasn't going to work so a new plan is being investigated.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

Maybe try and make a reduced size tip on a set screw, if its long enough. Put it in a nut with the end sticking out, clamp the nut hard in a vise, and then do some work on the end with a file, cutting wheel, etc.
