Installed a lipo in my DX5R.
But apparently the radio won't turn off if the battery is over 8.41v. Well I will not stand for this tom foolery so I raided my basement for a switch, tore apart the radio and did some surgery. Now I have a hard power cutoff switch.

And it's basically done now! I redesigned and re-printed the transmission case and it's much better now. I reinforced the area that broke and I figured out a design trick to really help with fitting bearings into 3d printed parts - add a small notched cutout on any bearing recess and use the slicer ...

So now the dust has settled after the last Nordic Vintage Challenge, and the car returned safely home without broken legs or other injuries. Went in this morning to Amin and was going to cancel my order and spend that money on a decent gold pan. Imagine my surprise seeing that it was being packaged to ship, which is a change from yesterday. Guess the gold pan is going to have to wait for now. Id rather pay $319 for this thing than the $3...

Completed my Mad Max Interceptor Mini.... My two Mad Max Minis look good together....

1st FXT body painted. Had intentions to, but ran out of time to apply decals today.

I took the Bandit out racing again this past Friday and this time nothing broke! I was able to run the car the entire night in the mod 2wd class and it drove really well. I managed to record the main by strapping a phone to my head - I'm sure I looked silly but the video came out great!

Lots of playing around with body post positions and widening the wheel track, and now it sits just about how I want it. Lots of decal work still to design and install, but it is coming together.
