Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Seeing that I just pre-ordered a Hasley RC10, I thought that I should start getting the other part ready. I had a Yokomo super stock laying around that needed some work. So I opened it up and cleaned everything, cut the comm, put a bearing on the inboard side (only had one), and replaced the endbell...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I had gotten an AE RC12 and finally decided to try to clean up the CF chassis. Started with the worst part, which wasn't really that bad. I used some Alclad II Aqua Clear as a "filler" in the scratches. Then sanded to 3000 and polished it. It isn't perfect but it is a whole lot better than...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Thanks! Same polish I always use on aluminum, lexan and now carbon fiber, Meguiar's Ultimate. I put a healthy daub on a flat sponge polishing pad and spin with a drill. To be honest, I really could not pick up the very minor scratch remnants with the camera, but I did try. Way better than it started...

Re: RC10B1.5 resto mod
Electronics are installed and it's now a runner. I'll be using B4 bearing front wheels and modern hex rears. Next, the body. Back about 15 years ago or so when we started trying to piece together T2 buggies here on 10talk, finding a currently available body that fit the t2 chassis was all trial and ...

Re: RC10B1.5 resto mod
Haha, I guess those were some quite obvious easter eggs. Both motors are used and belonged to my dad. I only recall being there in person as a kid when he purchased the yellow can race prep at the ranch pit shop in the late 80's for his rc10. It's a 17x1 and both the can and endbell say ayk on them....

Re: Next up- The Halsey edition RC10
bA82-PhCNxM Cool interview. I know the industry has moved on, and tracks as in the video are harder to maintain, but THAT is what I call off road. The tracks today are on road tracks with INSANE jumps. I know the speeds today would never be possible on tracks like that, but that’s my opinion. Sorry...

My basher Tyco Bandit build.
I didn't see a Tyco section on the forum so hopefully I put this in the right place. Decided to bring an old friend back to life. Started off as front suspension fix and an electronics upgrade, but eventually I improved some things over the years as parts broke. Its still an ongoing project. Ampro E...

Re: ** 2024 Vintage Off-Road Nationals - Adrenaline R/C Raceway - Winchester, VA - Sept. 6-8 **
I bring everything, and my son and I go together so I usually bring 4 spares of everything as able. As the re re stuff is around, there are things I can get right off the shelf that works, but some that doesn't. The gatherings however l, everyone seems to share parts needed very well

Re: ** 2024 Vintage Off-Road Nationals - Adrenaline R/C Raceway - Winchester, VA - Sept. 6-8 **
Yes you definitely need to bring your own vintage hobby shop whenever you are running especially harder to find models. If I'm racing my B2 or b3 for instance, whichever one I'm not racing becomes my backup. Plus I have spares. For my rc10, like Reg said, spares come along and the vonats crew is pre...

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)
Lot of work during the week for the office, it took a bit more time than expected to get the car finished... I derived a bit from the real one you could see on one picture as I implemented a Hunter monoshock, the Samurai driver (from The Optima House) and the leds/number plate holder. But beside thi...

Re: RC10B1.5 resto mod
Got the B2 body painted and stickered up. It was a total rush job but the stickers help hide blems and paint bleed. I'm calling this one done, just going to glue up a set of new rear double dee's and sprinters to try out. In the last pic, it sits next to it's WOIN B3 sibling.
