Re: Junk worn out brushed motors

I don't bother much with closed endbell motors. I'll flush them out and oil the bushings. If that fails, they are trash. I've rebuilt several "tab" style motors. I just use a automatic center punch to lock the tabs back down. https://www.harborfreight.com/spring-loaded-center-punch-621.htm...

Re: Junk worn out brushed motors

Hahaha! You beat me to it

I used to use an automatic punch to reset the tabs. It will leave a dimple but shocks the tab back into place pretty nicely. I use this punch for a lot of things, even for knocking out stubborn hinge pins.

Not r/c related, but class-A CDL came in the mail. That's nice.

Re: Building a Yokomo YZ10 in 2022 - Help

Are the older style YZ10 wheels still available, or do you think you'll end up with 12mm hex wheels? Hey @Frankentruck, sorry for the late reply, I did not notice your comment! There are some reproductions from JCRacing I think, see below: https://www.jcracingproducts.co.uk/yokomo-yz10-94 I think I...

Re: The dog thread

Made a 17 hour drive yesterday to pick up a friends puppers that he couldn’t take to his new living place. Ten month old boxer pup. He is such a good boy, handled the 8.5 hour drive home like a pro and gets along great with our other boxers.

Re: Hybrid buggy build

Got it painted and most of the decals on. I've got a Hornet Z parts tree coming, which will take care of the lights and driver. After the driver is mounted, I can finish the roof decals. Considering that the Bear Hawk decals weren't designed for this body, I think they look pretty decent. Screenshot...

Re: Vintage Kyosho Fantom 20 EXP 3P

Beautiful shock absorbers, quite easy to put together, just waiting for spare parts then first drive test..... A friend of mine is going to help me to restore the body, it's not going to be perfect but I want to respect its character !

Re: Rats to Ritches

Even though I prefer the look of nitro cars, I would have liked to have bought one of those kits as well. They had a better overall look than the Dynotech plate. Progress for the day. Mostly all aluminum hardware where the parts bolt to the chassis to clean up the bottom. I never was a fan of the bl...

Re: JRX Pro ebay find, runner rebuild

Got my MCI and TBG order in a few days ago and decided to paint up and decal the Pro finally. https://i.postimg.cc/3x0w9Fz3/IMG-20221119-171238221.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/VvHYWJRS/IMG-20221119-182306562.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/3Nw8GXg5/IMG-20221119-182317093.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/0Qn5rWK0/IMG-2...

Re: Rats to Ritches

Besides paint my I can consider this one wrapped up. Turned out one of my clunkers had a pretty decent set of tires on it so I stole them. 28994CC7-0084-4A21-BFA8-D7C1C644B740.jpeg 3B97B9D3-90BC-481C-94BB-75158F456FD8.jpeg 5F8EB766-2333-4102-B7E0-BB783E0992C3.jpeg A1F89A47-3856-4CB0-A66F-4861E90AA92...
