Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

The obsession with square body Chevy pickups continues. Traxxas just got these clear bodies in stock so I went ahead and ordered one (I'm too cheap to buy the entire truck). P1010001.JPG 92056-4-TRX4-K10-Pickup-Action-RED-3qtr-LtoR-4300.jpg The box arrived looking like it's been ran over so I was a ...

Re: RC10 Worlds Rerelease Build

So I went to town a bit today. What a blast getting to this point. Really reminded me of when I last built one in 94. I have a lot to do yet. Need to align the wheels, decide on the electronics, and then recondition them. I've gathered a nice little Novak collection, but I'm still holding out for a ...

Re: My original Top Cat

I bought that motor because it seemed too good to be true. It is in great shape, is "period correct" for my buggy, was the only rebuildable brushed motor at the whole swap meet, and it was $5. I didn't know the wind. After a couple of figure 8s in the driveway to check the steering and lis...

Re: It's Top Cat time!

As luck would have it, I ended up with a 12x2 in my Top Cat as well! We will both have to use our trigger fingers judiciously

I couldn't pass it up for just $5. I didn't know the wind when I bought. Like your pink can, the white one will work well with my paint scheme, so it stays.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I finished my Top Cat except for paint. I "won" novice with my KF2. Even though it weighs a ton more than my Mk1 Cougar, and has a 17.5 vs 13.5 for the Mk1, the lap times were almost identical. I guess there is something to these "modern" (2013 or so) cars after all :? I al...

Reedy Modifieds - which one would be your favorite?

I have a couple of Reedy Modified motors myself. And can´t really tell which one would be my favorite. At my collection there are the early Igarashi based ones but also something as Ultra or Mr. series. Also sometimes some other Reedy comes up. But it´s difficult to choose which one to go. So which ...

Re: Reedy Modifieds - which one would be your favorite?

I do like the original green label Ultra Reedy motors but I guess my favourite is the Schumacher Reedy I had back in 87 in my CAT SWB. I actually have two of these now. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52703558510_51d455568f_k.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52702619142_c9f93f80e0_k.jpg

Re: Reedy Modifieds - which one would be your favorite?

I’m kinda borderline obsessed with the Ultra series Mr. motors myself. Love Sonics, Ultra Sonics and Tri-Sonics as well.

Re: AE Hinge pins

This is a SC10 c-hub on my DS. All i did was take a 1/8" drill bit, attach it to a vice grip, and SLOWLY turned it through the hole. Afterwards i would push/pull the drill bit without turning through a few times to smooth it out. The hinge pin slid through easily without slop. https://live.stat...
