And it is now in progress... let's see in few hours...
I've tried to push all chances on my side : heating to ideal temp, following resin manufacturer recommendations, and so on... We'll see in few hours...
I did wash and cure last night before going to bed... This night was short. I washed the part for 3 minutes with IPA 99%. I then dry the part with what was left in the compressor. Due to the late time in the night, I did not restart the compressor, and that was a mistake, as the part was not fully d...
Well, not exactly the postman, but... https://i.imgur.com/ZxXlsQW.jpg https://i.imgur.com/4zdvotr.jpg Kyosho Plazma LM Carbon Edition in perfect condition. I'll have to find some electronics to get in, add some vinyl under the chassis, and another bodyshell to be able to run it... And someone loan m...
Looking very very good! Approximately how long does it take to print one tire? I have no concept of resin prints One tire or two tires is about 7 hours print (it's the number of layer that counts, whatever you have on the plate)... Someone asked me theis morning about the resin I use. I told him : ...

I agree, that looks fantastic! It looks like you are using sintered nylon (polyamide)? By chance, have you performed any durability testing on your gears? I was thinking about designing a printed diff gear for my 934 project (52t and either 48dp or mod 0.6, brushed motor, 2s power) and I was wonder...
Last night, I launched a long print (ok, ot so long, it would have taken much more time on the E5+)...

Two swiss white shepards and a sheltie at home, and a wife which is pretty strict about the way we feed the dogs... Every 6 weeks, it's half a day of preparation for their food in whole prey model... That's this morning, and the main reason i'm not working on the Big Bear chassis... https://i.imgur....
Lot of Marui stuff those times... Last time printed the three parts of the chassis to test it. I had to check 2 dimensions : one requiring the 3 parts (body mounts positions), second one being the rear rigid axle position... I printed all on the same plate, not in an optimal position, and without us...
I remember having an argument on lettering the tires or not, and lettering the tires with a very simple font instead of trying to reproduce the original Marui font...
I could not resist... The weather is not good, but trying to run on asphalt is not requiring too much of cleaning afterwards... For memory, I printed 7 Samurai tires in total : 4 fronts and 3 rears. Two of the fronts (one of them which was lettered) had an issue due to cup suction effect, and there ...

I really need to do the paint job, now (I'll need thi...
Looks great , really interested in how they grip and wear , do they feel like rubber or more like soft plastic ? They really feel like rubber... I was not expecting a result that good, actually... The 30 seconds run on a asphalt were definitely not enough to do a single trace of wear... And it grip...
