Re: Kyosho 30635 - Fantom EP-4WD

My son likes my Fantom... During one day at the club, he finished to damage the bodyshell... That was in September... Last time I ordered some bodyshells to TBG for multiple projetc I took a Plazma Alfa Romeo bodyshell, as it should be fine for the Fantom... It's here since quite a long time already...

Re: Sand Rover, Tamiya's unlovable child

I'm beginning to get the impression that you like this buggy. 🤔 I guess we have all one or a few cars we love but we would not recognize this :-) And I believe the Sand Rover for Gavin is the same as a Marui CJ-7 Golden Eagle Super Wheelie for me : a car I dreamt about while young and with not spec...

Re: Kyosho 30635 - Fantom EP-4WD

Initially, I planed to go fetch spray cans tonight, but tonight is long week-end, and that means there will be a lot of trafic on the highway heading to Alps, which is one of the surest way to spend 2 hours driving instead of usually 1 hour... I decided to do with what I had remainin in the spray ca...

Re: Kyosho 30635 - Fantom EP-4WD

There is at least one of the Vintage events (if not two) this year where there will be night runs on both offroad and onroad... I need some of the cars to be ready in this extend... I've modified the front Led holder I designed for the Fantom to suit the new bodyshell, printed in TPU and installed l...

Re: Kyosho Javelin Legendary series - 30618

When you like to run a car, and that it's roll cage based, and by essence close to the box art, and you go to vintage events there is fair chance you see few Javelin of the same color... I converted mine to red, and in anycase I'll have the orange roll cage with me... I also replaced the front led l...

Re: Graupner/Mugen Mercury CAD model...

After the motor plate, I decided to tackle the arms... https://i.imgur.com/pLXVWgS.jpg Front first (right one)... https://i.imgur.com/wx1MKq8.jpg Firstly, it is not easy to measure. As ususal, I start by an observation round to check if what I see parallel is actually parallel. Then, I set the plan....

Re: Graupner/Mugen Mercury CAD model...

Rear right arm is done following the same principle as front arm, but measurements are even harder... https://i.imgur.com/qdO4o1J.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nDN03HM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/fEtMPoQ.jpg And we have our suspension arms, now (left side will be mrrored). https://i.imgur.com/vBxjWtG.jpg

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)

Leds are working fine and this detail makes a lot for me in terms of realism... https://i.imgur.com/SXNmFuL.jpg https://i.imgur.com/kGGykA9.jpg But there was a missing detail... I spent a bit of time to try to get it right yesterday evenning https://i.imgur.com/rtPZc71.jpg This car will be nice...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...

Since I have the Bambu Lab X1C, I have the possibility to print TPU... Not the lower shore yet, but at least I can print flex filament from the spool holder... It's slow (volumetric flow rate need to be low for TPU), but now that I have a profile that works, I've decided to try a print of the Big Be...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...

I got that same set of silicone rubber funnel and tea strainer and found it too small , but the paper painters funnels are too big .... If I find a better one, I'll share the link... I got this one : https://amzn.eu/d/cm7VGvG Diameter is about 10cm, and it's much better. And it comes with two sizes...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...

First half print finished during the night... https://i.imgur.com/iAVcbYN.jpg TPU 95A is way to rigid for this, but this is for an experimentation, so I don't really care... There is TPU with lower shore, if I succeed to glue the two halves together, I may try later on to print a tire with a TPU wit...

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)

3 chassis (Zerda, 44B City, 44B Hilux), that makes a lot of red parts :-)

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...

Now that I have two halves printed... https://i.imgur.com/gitYnMw.jpg I put some additional stuff in Fusion 360 to work that out... https://i.imgur.com/SHxHf4C.jpg A small precision : the two tires halves have been designed to be printed without any need for support, and the internal rings are actin...
