Yeah !!! There is a few collectors who are going to be unhappy with this : It's really 60th anniversary collector parts
Ultimately, I'll do as always. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to keep this as NIP
Following some discussion initiated with friends, I create a page for Silver Triple designs on Facebook. (I'll add a link later on - for the time being it seems it doesn't work - You may searh for "Silver Triple designs" in facebook) https://i.imgur.com/qdkKSYz.jpg On this page, I'll share...
Few hours later... A few sketch reviewed, and the wing is now much better. (I suspected the issue in the first sketch when I saw the difference and I was right). I also increased tha angle on the sides. https://i.imgur.com/vr1saL6.jpg And few minutes later, I had the mould as well. It is actually ea...
A quick visualisation of the chassis components of the Mercury 4Xi using Fusion360 web visualisation tools. This looks quite well organized (compared to the same view for other cars) https://i.imgur.com/Qc9crOw.jpg This morning, I got some news from down under (Australia), where my friend Johann did...
Scored this for the resto Resized_20240112_160838.jpeg That Lipo will be gone that's in it!... Can't stand any Lipo/Brushless in any vintage build...yes I have done it too many times..but I still hate it Nice score! I can understand for the Brushless being an issue to keep a car in the mood of the ...
I had a similar problem lining up the Sand Rovers bottom gearbox section (very similar design) , took me a while to realise the error was because of draft angles to help release the chassis from the injection mould , it really depended on where i measured it . Yes I tried to take that into account....
I fixed the chassis yesterday. The profile is now in line with the real one. I still need to check the full length, but both rear part (gearbox) is now matching original parts, and my center part should be almost fine as well. And then some of my linked files went mad... Actually one mainly went bad...
There was something missing on the bodyshell.. https://i.imgur.com/wEYPPVA.jpg Now that this is done, another branch of the project started: the prototype... From the pictures, I can see the chassis is black, and the nylon reinforced parts are in a sort of white/yellow resin, so I started by applyin...
Before doing the first prototype body , I had to tackle the specific gear covers... I started to reproduce what I could see easily : the exhaust and the piples... https://i.imgur.com/EbCTweg.jpg Then I assemble this with the bottom of the rear cover, and tried to think about a way to make it work......
i'm quite curious to see how the sprocket is actually working in real, and how long it last... I'm saying this as I've been quite disappointed with my Nylon idle gears...
Any thought about printing the sprocket part in SLM and design part around to be printed in Nylon?
I spend a lot of time in Fusion 360, with only the very few inputs from a quality picture... https://i.imgur.com/Yfjrimd.jpg Obviously, the chassis and other elements from production models hints about a lot of things, but I also want this body to be 7.2V stick packs ready (which I suppose was not t...

It happens I'm printing stuff that has nothing related with RC... Yesterday I received a starlink equipment to bump my connectivity bandwith (from almost none). I designed a part to fix the antenna to the wall... https://i.imgur.com/EoVPlQ7.jpg Then I printed it in PETG/CF as it was what I had at ha...
