Re: Bolink Digger sort of

A little further , still waiting on post Christmas delivery backlog on parts , all the wheels are 3d printed in polycarbonate to a design by GoMachV for 2.2 wheels . The motor is 12t Team Checkpoint that I got in a lot but was too hot for my other buggy's , I'm hoping it's going to be a good fit in ...

Re: Bolink Digger sort of

I'm not sure on the body , I have a Ferrari Testarossa body kicking around that came on a PB Mini Mustang of all things , I might use that or I may fit a buggy body , this won't be used off road really so I'm not sure , always wanted a Metro 6R4 body on something so that's in the mix too . I just fi...

Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)

Twin tail lights with a central license plate holder, I definitely think you're on the right track with this mod. Cannot wait to see the finished product. I'm nearly finished and while assembling my copy, I've spent some time and modeled each part. The parts are then assembled and the finished model...

Re: srBFF Silliness Build

Getting less silly , new front shocks are not SRB but AYK Super Trail shocks , look the part nicely though and lowers the top of the shocks by 20mm that helps with the look too . Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)

Doing the wiring is my least favorite part of any build. I think you've handled the wiring very well. At least with this car, the battery is accessed from underside so the body stays on and no one will ever see the wires. One quick note on the included ESC. My copy came with a Hobby Wing 1060 and th...

Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)

Applying matte black paint around the driver figure makes a huge improvement. Mark Bryan posted his Blockhead build video recently and he has done this also. Anyway, everything is looking great so far. 8) I've painted my driver's face very similar but your driver looks much better than mine. Age, po...

Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)

That's awesome! You have a great start on something that's sure to look better than the panel in your link. Anyway, for mounting the panel I was thinking perhaps a couple small feet projecting forward and roughly perpendicular to the panel (maybe 70 degree angle to tilt the panel so Mister Big Hands...

Re: Tamiya 58695 Wild One Blockhead Motors at SilverTriple's sauce :)

Somehow, I just knew you were gonna ditch the turtles. Oh I agree! Battery and cable fitment, like so many other design aspects with this and other Tamiya's, is a joke - a very cruel joke. :x However, with some minor trimming of the decorative side plates and counter sunk flat head screws, it ...

Re: Marui Samurai 4WD - Another SilverTriple's journey...

Don't forget most tires will stretch of a fair bit , I have a set of 4 Optima re re tires on original rims and a set of four Rough Rider rears on another set of 3d printed rims that are a direct copy size wise , so you can have matching tires all round and the rears are the non stretched so have the...
