Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
I have always suspected the folks on this board are like the folks in the museum staring intently at an exhibit, not just wandering about as if in a grocery store.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - '85 Jammin' Jay Halsey Tribute
Seems like an easy enough change to make to the decal sheet, to add those two correctly scaled hood stickers; but that makes two JJH decal makers now that don't have it exactly right. Wish there was a place like Shapeways for decals, this would be already done and in the mail. Callie does a lot of ...

Re: Parts You Never Knew Existed
Along the same lines as the first post, did you know that Kyosho used to make glue on spikes? I definitely did not know that. I read somewhere that Masami had a bin full of various spikes of different shapes and sizes to make whatever pattern he needed for a particular track. I assumed he h...

Schumacher parts back in stock
FYI I just got the alert that Schumacher has ball raced steering kit U8299 for the Cougar\Cougar Classic in stock. :D These have been unavailable roughly since my ole F-100 was someone's "new truck". Rumor has it that the parts underwent a redesign to improve clearance, hence the loooooooo...

Re: Schumacher parts back in stock
It is about the same. At the current conversion rate Schumacher is $75 while Amain is $95. It wouldn't be worth buying just the transmission from Schumacher because of the shipping cost. I was already paying for UK shipping on a bunch of alloy seals and steering kits, so adding the transmission made...

Re: Was KISS the hottest band in the world? 77'/78'
Define "hottest". If the metric involves lunch box sales, yes, KISS was most likely the hottest band in the world. KISS takes a lot of flack for various reasons, but when I discovered them at about age 6, they were unbelievably cool! After being force-fed a steady diet of Hee Haw and...

Re: looks like we need a rere associated on road section next!
What is all this crazy talk? No love for Tommy Kendall's Mustang?
I was actually surprised (then and now) that AE didn't do the Sting Ray body as a call back to the Dead Pool movie.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
This caught my eye at a car show: a Parker 4bbl intake on a 4 cam Ford.
