Your 3 hour estimate does not include the 11 day site-seeing trip across America USPS trucks often take. Cue the Benny Hill theme....GreenBar0n wrote: ↑Tue Sep 17, 2024 3:43 pm Amain is in Chico, CA, I'm in Walnut Creek, CA - that's about 3 hours away.

If AE starts releasing Championship replicas, we're going to be here a while.

Re: The 2WD buggy that handily beat the RC10 in 1987
The body and appearance take some getting used to (ugly) which is the reason for the beer.   That looks to be a very nice example. Congratulations! I never had an Ultima, but I always liked them. It would be cool to have a JJ Ultima to sit next to my Masami XLS. :D I hoped the post ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Another RT1408 and Speed Gem Pro Chrominum with a sweet solder job. If I'd ever had a Speed Gems Pro Chromium back in the day, then I'd have to wonder how you got that motor from my collection. I used to do a lot of sweet solder jobs like that. I've been on the hunt for a particular Schumache...

The obvious solution is to build another pink Top Cat.

Re: Ultima Worlds Spec
I found black and white photos of 2nd and 3rd. I re-watched the race, but didn't see any peppermint buggies in the A-main or in the pit area.

Re: and the graphite finally makes an appearance
Remember boys, get em while they're available. Sound advice. I remember mulling over whether I should buy the Masami kit new at $309. Oh jeez, should I? :? I had just gotten back into the hobby and here is the greatest buggy of all time (just my opinion, obviously) and I don't want to spend...

Re: Jamie Booth XL - previously unseen
My understanding is that under any other IFMAR scoring system from any other year, Jamie would have been the 4WD world champion in 87.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I had a long weekend, so I was able to do lots of RC stuff. First up was the Benny Hill motor swapping extravaganza. My Cougar had a 7.5 LRP and my Top Cat had a Trinity Outlaw 10.5. Both were undriveable unless EPA was set low, very low. So I pulled the 7.5 for my new LD3, swapped the 10.5 into the...

Re: 2025 21.5 Pre-Pro SE buggy
I did something similar on my KF2 gear diff. I filled an old case with Flitz metal polish and ran the diff with a drill to let the gears polish themselves.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
On the one I mentioned earlier, the "always on" +5 volt line is red. I connected it to gray. If I wanted a power switch, I would have put it across these 2. For mine, I just soldered them together. I have another power supply here, so I checked to see how it compares. On this one, the alwa...

Re: RC10Talk logos by Dangeruss - Choose your favorite
^^^ definitely this
Assuming we have permission, the RC10 B2 logo design would lend itself nicely to the RC10 talk logo.
