Re: Schumacher CAT XL 2WD (T402) for vintage racing
The small and anonymous rear suspension pivot blocks (T077) are adding to the tuning possibilities of the CAT. A simple and effective way for adjusting the rear anti-squat. There is an early version of this part with the same part number, but I think I will save the description for a SWB build threa...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Amain was (is?) closing out some toy grade stuff, took a gamble on them since they didn't have much for pics or reviews. This entire lot was under $100, and while shipping wasn't free I did make another purchase that qualified so the entire lot shipped for free. Pretty impressed with the quality for...

Re: Bolink Chain Drive
Here's the video of the test run at almost no throttle due to the plastic pieces. It sounds like they're yelling at each other but that's just how they communicate with one another all the time.

Re: Vulgar Display Of Power (updated pics 4/3)
Here's a video from yesterday when we were running the B3 and an original RC10. Both with stock motors. It looks like the RC10 pulls the B3 but they were actually 100% even no matter how many passes we made. Both ran great. We had a Top Cat out there too that we should have added to the mix. It ran ...

Re: Did you ever or do you race now?
Something about dirt, tires, motor spray, solder flux, hot electronics smells all mixed together...you know what I'm talking about. If it was a candle scent it would be called "at the track". Very true. I recently bought some discontinued tires off eBay, NIP. When they arrived they smelle...

Re: Schumacher CAT XL 2WD (T402) for vintage racing
Built a standard XL steering with the T116 fibreglass centre track rod. To go along with the wide track mod, Schumacher made the T170 wide centre track rod. On the original XLS the wide rear/front was part of the kit along with the wide steering rod. However, faithful to worlds setup, the release Ma...

Re: Next up- The Halsey edition RC10
Amain has pre-orders for $390. https://www.amainhobbies.com/team-associated-rc10-jay-halsey-edition-1-10-electric-2wd-buggy-kit-asc6008/p1581103 I may wait a bit to see if I can get one from LiquidRC or nitrohobbies direct. I got mine from Amain for $380, plus $30 off with the monthly coupon. That ...

RIP Bob Rule

I think many of us had Bolink cars over the years, they seem to be more recognizable than any other pan car.

Re: Leonard Wood 1/10 Nitro Oval Car
I don't think it's worth its own thread so I'll just borrow Brian's if that's ok with him  I have had a LW10 for a bit now and still haven't got around to cleaning it up. It needs very little besides some scrubbing, a bumper, and a pipe. This was identified by Leonard as a later version tha...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Not my picture (my wide screen couldn't go anywhere near getting it all in), but this is a picture from the first day of this weekend's Vintage Bash in Knox, Australia.
Day one out of the way.... two more days to go!
Official count is 505 cars.... made it all the way around the track!Day one out of the way.... two more days to go!
