Yokomo 870c white ZC-407C "holy grail" nylon a-arm set
Here are some relatively rare Yokomo 870c white nylon suspension arms. I'm tempted to replace the black arms with these.

Re: Traxxas Sprint Car
I would love for this to catch on and become a new oval class. Not Traxxas, though. Tamiya would probably be best given their expertise with scale accuracy. Fun fact, Cecil Schumacher runs a vintage Talbot Lago grand prix car and he is also among the world's top mechanics specializing in pre-war ra...

Re: Traxxas Sprint Car
and... for those interested, a longer, more in-depth look at the car: _ptQ4rjQiDo The wheels were kinda cool... I expected them to be solid with a mesh cover but it turns out there's lacing in the perimeter of wheel center. I foresee someone gutting one of these to build a period hot rod. Actually, ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Started the build of my rere Turbo Optima during summer of 2022. Got back at it last night. I was really impressed with my ability to find shock shaft e-clips in the carpet that had launched themselves around the room. I think it might be a runner next weekend... or in another 18 months  . . 10...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Got in what I think is going to be the front axle of my '33 Ford. So, axles are determined I think. Waiting on actual final rear tires to come in later this week so I can finalize chassis width throughout, then get to cutting it.

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches
Well this has been WAY too long but I finally pulled the stock rear and put a deposit down for a Strange chromoly driveshaft. Getting it out was pretty straight forward except the mufflers were in the way of removing the front spring eye bolts which was annoying. 20240123_203629.jpg The joys of rebu...

Re: Traxxas Sprint Car
Nobody has yet mentioned how weird those look without a driver doll. Of all the car models that would seem to require one...it's THIS. :? I'm not sure what looks dumber actually driving around...a modern cab-forward body that looks nothing like a real car, or an open cockpit vintage car model sans d...

Re: Traxxas Sprint Car
Without a driver, maybe it would be an even earlier version of K.I.T.T. than K.A.R.R., with this being the Knight Industries One Thousand: K.I.O.T.

O rings in out drives - why not springs?
I have always run o rings but in my high speed GT2 I installed springs to remove any slop in the bones back in 2017. CVD pins will not hold over 80mph even with super glue red loctite, and a heat shrink boot. The pins leave the bone and cut the rear arms off at the knuckles. So dog bones it’s been. ...
