Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Another Mad Max Mini in the works... painted the body, now to do the decals. Used Tamiya Flat Clear for the first time, seems to make the black much deeper.... not really flat, though.

Re: .12 Nitro Monster Beetle

Had to switch the MIP Ball Diff for a Frog Gear diff...tranny/clutchbell super free...zero resistance Also had to relocate the right rear shock to clear the engine mount......

Re: RC Top Faux CAT 10
I've got some trial and error (and error and error and error) tweaks to make, but I think this concept will work.

Re: What RC Videos Do You Like On Youtube?
I thought there was going to be some excitement when the cat arrived on the scene. :D He lost interest pretty quickly, though :( Right?! I was expecting him to reach in and * WHAP! * Stumbled onto this video... shockingly good resolution for a 1989 VHS tape on YouTube. Pretty sure everyone is...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Dropped a bitchin' motor in. 87/17 combo on a SWB chassis. Ready to rip it on an ultra short track (behind the parts wall, thru the secret door of the LHS, on a Friday night in 1992). Steering would be tough though.

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches
Are you doing any of the old racer tricks, like clamping the leaves in front of the axle and un-clamping the rear? Sorry, I didn't see your post. Probably not at this stage as I bought a set of tramp rod brackets which sort of 4 link the rear. It's a pretty simple but clever idea, I like the fact t...

Similar, these caps are quite hard to find now and very rarely pop up for sale
This is my goal so to say albeit WAY more rusty and dented.

Re: Top CAT rocker geometry
Can't answer your question directly but did see a video on youtube with two guys who competitively run Topcats in Vintage and other races and they discussed how these made by Bezerk address the issue of Topcat geometry causing the front to get softer as it compresses. https://bezerk.com.au/topcat-fr...
