1/5 RC10 - RC5 Team Build

This is my first project posting on this forum. If this is the wrong section, please move it to the correct section. I enjoy doing custom builds dsigning and fabricating custom parts. I have a decent amount of capabilities within my shop including CNC machining, manual machining, 3D printing. I also...

RC10 Extra Holes Factory Drilled ?

Bottom RC10 Extra Holes.jpg Please look closely at the bottom of this RC10. The additional servo and battery mount holes appear to be factory drilled. I say that because the inside of the holes appear to be anodized. Yes some are not countersunk but are so clean and perfectly mirror the stock oppos...

Re: RC10 Extra Holes Factory Drilled ?

Eyyy I have one of these (unfortunately drilled by previous owner). I think there was a thread a looong time ago (couldn't find it).
The new guy probably did a bunch wrong and the boss was like "Ehh, just flip 'em"

Re: Old School Rocket Car Build

I put together a compilation of all the runs so far into one video!

In all seriousness, rough run. Would moving the rockets forward change the center of pressure and reduce the cars tendency to become airborn?

Re: 1/5 RC10 - RC5 Team Build

First test print of the front tire. This is probably a usable tire but the back side is pretty ugly. I want to mess around with the settings and also look at softer compounds. I have a rear tire on the printer now. Even though we are only doubling the dimensions to go from 1/10 to 1/5, volumetricall...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Machined two Tamiya re-release SRB rear axles from 5mm to 4mm diameter where the wheels sit and added Kyosho Scorpion drive washers to each. 3.jpg This allows me to run unmodified Kyosho Scorpion wheels and tyres on the rear. The front wheels use four 5x8mm bearings. Swapping back to the older wheel...

Jeffrey's Losi XX

Hey, everybody! This is my first post on the board. I figured it would be appropriate to share some photos of my Losi XX. This is the form it was in circa 1995 when I stopped racing. It has just followed me around through multiple houses and garages ever since. I gave away, sold, or threw away all o...

Team Associated @SEMA

So AE posted this on Facebook: We are attending The SEMA Show this year and using that as the starting point for the pending 60th Anniversary of Associated Electrics (1964) and 40th Anniversary of the RC10 (1984)! To pay homage to the RC10, we decided to make a special display piece, and since we kn...

Not today, but yesterday. Ol' lady took me on one of her 5 mile death marches. Scenery was decent though.
