Admirable attempt on a Complex paint job. On the plus side... There wasn't any real bleed through between colors. +1 on the dislike of window nets. Bet it would have looked really pretty backed in white. Taping some cellophane to a scrap wood frame makes for super cheap practice panels... if you ign...

The bitty design is definitely the best I've used. I tried the proline but it was chunky and this style xacto #10 works good for the compound curves.

Weather is delaying the painting, so I looked over the decals. Why would the decals have Wolverine on them?

1999 saw lots of new in Schumacher's lineup ads. The Fireblade Evo, SST Axis Pro, and Nitro 21 XT were all updated from their previous iterations for the '99 model year.

Instead of throwing away these wheels I took off one of my runners that was beat up pretty badly I decided to give them a second chance. I started by stripping the chrome, fixing the cracks with bond, sanded everything down smooth, then hit them with some fresh paint, polish, and new tires. I threw ...

I also need to decide which gearbox is going in. I kind of think the new Factory Works / JC Racing hybrid gearbox would be the right setup, but have to think about it a little more. I have a nice 6 gear that has needed a home for a while. This chassis feels like the right one for it.

I didn't realize the AYK Buffalo had laydown rear shocks like this. I think I need to update the name to the Buff CAT
