Manobet in France fabricates a brass bulkhead for the Triumph, but there's a reason you PM him for prices, that amazing work he does costs for a reason.
So pretty, and unbelievable craftmanship but not in my budget unfortunately,

Re: Fan RC FR-01
The Fan RC belcranks have material added to the ballstud areas meaning they have more thread engagement than your setup. The pic I posted earlier shows what I'm talking about. This is also what I was saying would need to be shaved down. For some reason, the picture of the Fan Rc bellcranks didn't s...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Today I finished assembling my Kyosho DirtMaster - well, the chassis anyway. I'll get around to painting the body and wing some day. I also finished this cad model: Dirt Master2.jpg Dirt Master1.jpg Dirt Master3.jpg It's pointless, I know, but I enjoy making digital models of my RC's. BTW, "Dir...

Re: Fan RC FR-01
Rear shocks, not front. The rear shocks included are the 1.32 with 1.32 shafts. Same as all the rc10 buggies used except the world's car. Here is the page from the rc10 manuals. See the amount of spacer used? Screenshot_20240812_232722_Firefox.jpg This page is from the world's car which had the same...

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
If you intend to use a brushed motor, it will fit the DS without issue. If you intend to use a brushless motor, you may need to mod the motor mount. Brushelss on the left, brushed on the right. https://i.imgur.com/hVnPLh2.jpg I had to file the motor mount a bit to get the 3650 brushless motor to fit...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Got the DS done for now. Got into the build so quick I didn't really think about electronics and such, so yea, need to figure all that out.

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
This evening I watched both Smokey and the Bandit I (1977), and made it about halfway through Smokey and the Bandit II (1980); part II has Bandit written on the drivers door, part I has no name on the door. What i was really looking for was the exact decals to use for the Part I Bandit. The Bandit I...

Re: Fan RC FR-01
Oh geez! RIGHT! I forgot I bought ceramic balls! Which would make the 12 count of those balls make total sense. What a newb mistake. Ugh. Sometimes I can't get out of my own way. Thank you! Of course the balls are too big they are the diff balls. I am not exactly sure but I thought I was using the c...

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
I was looking everywhere for the optional silver headlight and tail light buckets, shown on the sheet: https://i.imgur.com/mdKAJ2s.jpg What I had thought was a separate nose, like the tail wing came with, was really the light buckets, that need to be painted silver/chrome: https://i.imgur.com/SfpEg9...

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
Here's a weird one. The HPI 1978 Firebird body is completely licensed by Pontiac, and it has every decal for this body on the sheet - it would seem, but it's missing (3) major decals. The one over the license plate, and the (2) on each side under the side scoops - that all said Trans-Am: https://i.i...

Light buckets chromed and backed in black, ran out of black, PS-23 gun metal actually. https://i.imgur.com/yo74uz5.jpg Alclad II is very fragile until the backing paint is on. https://i.imgur.com/66AQxoH.jpg Looks like stainless or nickel in some light. https://i.imgur.com/4Et56IV.jpg Got the see-th...

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
Yes. It's AE's rendition of the Mustang Tommy Kendall drove in the SCCA Trans Am series. Thus, it is a Trans Am Mustang. The Jon Gooding version is better looking IMO. I think I am going to just go with the stock body and try to pay tribute to it (minus the big wing). 0e18ab57-b16b-4764-9638...
