Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Amain was (is?) closing out some toy grade stuff, took a gamble on them since they didn't have much for pics or reviews. This entire lot was under $100, and while shipping wasn't free I did make another purchase that qualified so the entire lot shipped for free. Pretty impressed with the quality for...

Team Losi XX-4 Worlds Edition
In 1999 Team Losi released a new version of their XX-4 1/10 4wd electric racing buggy called the XX-4 Worlds Edition. The aptly named Double X Four Worlds car was based on the upgrades Jukka Steenari used on his XX-4 to win the 4WD class at the 1999 IFMAR World Championship held at Umihall Racing Ar...

Re: Kyosho Optima Mid 60th Anniversary - kit 30643
To have clues about my wiring, I need to deal first with my battery support... For this I started to draw the chassis section (before checking, I also thought the lip for the Mid standard chassis would go along the edge of the chassis at the place where there is the battery and it is not the case). ...

Driver figure
Tried a "hack" to get some dimension into a driver figure.
The body was stripped of it's original paint by using brake fluid. Original paint was water based.
The body is probably as old as the car, a RC12L.

Re: Bolink Chain Drive
Here's the video of the test run at almost no throttle due to the plastic pieces. It sounds like they're yelling at each other but that's just how they communicate with one another all the time.

Re: 8RADs OIN build #2
Progress!......no surprises. 20241025_133535.jpg Printed a set of Nikis quadra arms in polycarbonate. Polycarbonate is inicredibly light and strong but I am a little worried how little they flex......the rear arm mounts are probably a weak point. The arms are super beefy. 20241025_140059.jpg Problem...

Re: 8RADs OIN build #2
Problemo #4.....insufficient front travel. So the quardra arms have a bit too much material around the bulkhead mounting.

I now own a goldpan
After that interesting ebay situation (well, it's not actually over yet) I found this rc10 on offerup. It was fairly cheap in rc10 terms, and looks to be a mashup of a bunch of different parts. Should make a nice runner that I dont have to care too much about and that's really what I want in an rc10.
