Losi Mini-T "1.0" vintage buggy conversion

Hello Friends of the RC10 Looking at my Losi Mini-T "1.0" (old rear motor version) I found that if I would stretch this thin a little bit, it would be quit exactly a "3/4-Scale-1/10-Buggy". With 180 mm instead of 240 mm, according to that the wheelbase should be a bit less than 2...

Re: Associated's '89 Stealth car (RC10GX)

Small steps. Waiting on parts...
Just noticed that I need to source aluminum M3 phillips screws for the front turnbuckles.

Re: Another Marui project - Ninja/Shogun

I did not post yesterday, but that was intense work... I started to deal with the bevel gears for the central joints. I started to check the position of the cone inside the gearbox. https://i.imgur.com/jPGaTrP.jpg The way those bevel gears 18T mod 1 are built is basically variant of the same bevel g...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I didn't realize they did these with stamped brush hoods. I have an original one with the machined endbell, interesting motors for sure. In addition to those, I also have a SV2 with bushings and fixed timing. It isn't marked like a stock motor, so I'd assume that it was a 19 or 21 turn spec motor. ...

Re: Again another Marui project : Super Wheelie and Big Bear!

After the print of the bevel gear 27T confirmed I could be slightly more optimistic about prints, I launched the full Big Bear gear set I checked after a few layers to see it was ok to continue... https://i.imgur.com/uDX8lBE.jpg And it was... 2 hours later, I had the full gear set on the bed. https:...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Piddling around before work. Another trip through the boxes netted some Novak electronics, an NER-2X and 410-M5. Also made some motor leads and tidied up the servo wire. Kinda-sorta reminds me of the old Novak add, which is the image of what I think a RC10 should look like. I guess it made an impres...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Got in a little more time on the Pro-2. My chassis is lacking two factory parts, 1) bellcrank tubes, and 2) a rear ESC mount, which actually acts as half of the rear shock tower mount. Building one of these from parts really is a PITA. Made up some bellcrank tubes out of some aluminum standoffs. rc ...

Re: Again another Marui project : Super Wheelie and Big Bear!

Gearbox parts are printed... https://i.imgur.com/gYiXrdn.jpg Good : - it matches the profile of the original gearbox, and holes positions are correct, axles as well, and on all faces... Bad or mixed... - it is really tight with the arms axes. I'll recheck the measurements, but I may have to review t...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Got a soft spot for the Pro-2, had gotten the chassis for my scratch built slash when it was first released. Instantly became one of my favorites and still is. This is when it existed shortly as a speed run vehicle.

Re: Losi Mini-T "1.0" vintage buggy conversion

Not yet the perfect beauty but it will do it for a while and for testing. The first runs are very promising, handling is much more stable and consistent than the original truck version. It was not a big deal, three parts (chassis, upper deck, upper-deck-to-servo-saver-stiffener-plate) fell out of my...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

I got this sad little Grasshopper.

I only paid $40 (shipped !) for it, so I couldn't really go wrong. And other than a pinion gear, I have enough junk to piece it together with.
