Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

A really nice time capsule came my way. All it needs is a good cleaning and a body. The original owner seems to have taken really good care of it. I'm not sure if I'll go painted or clear with the body.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

I understand this is taking the details to a dumb level, but does anyone have ste skill to design up a direct mount spur gear like the original losi spurs without the slipper? I admit I haven't got the skills or ability to design a gear at the moment :) And second, if I manage to find a way to get a...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

Oh I have recently acquired a resin 3d printer, and a spur gear should look nice off of it even if it is not really functional. As for style either would work, I want to put it on the junior.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread

Well... Hmm. I went to try to adjust things to make the steering bellcranks clear everything better, I figured the Mini Jrx2 steering posts were too short knowing the molded posts were taller. So I measured everything and did up some models. The Mini Jrx2 posts are technically taller even than the m...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Fitted up a RJ Speed Jeep crawler body on one of my Blackfoots, using Monster Beetle mounts. I need to narrow the rear mounts a little but the overall fit is better than I'd hoped for.

Carpet Oval LX-T

Here's my LX-T that I raced on carpet ovals as a kid. It's close to how it was back then, except for the .36" shocks and yellow motor plate. I ran A&L Roadkill & BTS Liberator, Dahm's Ruff- E-Nuff SE and Andy's Lo Profile bodies. I had Trinity Pushed 1400's but the Point Blank labels fi...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Not today, but the two previous ones, there was a vintage event with onroad focus with a very nice big track adapted up to big scale rc cars (if you want to have a look to the track, here is the site of the club : http://www.camm71.fr/)... Went there with both my son and my daughter on Saturday. I d...

Re: Getting a Chassis Gold Anodized

I used oven cleaner in the past to remove existing anodizing but this was years ago, I'm not sure if the cleaners are the same as they were back then.. You want the yellow can. Real Easy-Off seems better than the off brands but definitely has a stronger odor. I have even used the Dollar Tree brand....
