It's kind of funny that this sprint car discussion is in the 21st century modern sub forum.

I chose a unique path for mine. I haven’t really run it much but I haven’t forgotten about it either. Finding round LiFe/LiPo/LiOn cells that fit the battery slots have proven challenging.

I guess that I will soon be the owner of a SC10.

Built some new reproduction Sanyo cells with Tenergy 3000 nimh batteries and MCI decals ....also fabbed up an ultra low resistance chain drive idler with Factory Works upper plate...and converted to Kyosho Optima chain for durability with sprockets from Dadio Designs received_1581382542602768.jpeg r...

Here is mine with our 89 Masami conversion added. Not a lot of room with old school cells for sure. Tried adding the lipo to the other side but just not enough room even with the shorty servo. Ended up leaving it in the stock rere location.

I now have a dedicated set of axle pin pliers. I probably should drill a little pocket hole in the other side to steady axle pins for installation.
