Here's one of my favorite projects ever. This is basically the result of years and years of trying and tons of hours of trial and error. I have no idea why I came up with the idea... or exactly when. My first memory of putting an airplane prop on an RC car was on an XXT, probably 1995'ish. The XXT w...

Not a 100% scale, but it's getting closer to what I'd planned...

RBS Sprint Car
As it came to me from eBay: rbssprnt0.jpg As it is now: rbssprint2.jpg rbssprint1.jpg rbssprint3.jpg Wasn't in all that bad a shape really. The rear tank guard was pretty bent up, but the main roll cage, side bars, and bottom only had light scratches. Anodizing was worn in spots but was also very th...

My RC10T2 - I still have it after all these years.
I thought I'd dig out my old RC10T2 and share photos of it. This was my second ever RC car which I purchased new from Sheldons hobbies. My first car was an RC10 given to me a few years earlier as a Christmas present from my dad. I always liked the look of stadium trucks though, so I saved my money a...

Re: Custom Works Dominator resto (done for now 9/14)
Wow Ken, I had no idea that you actually had or worked on vintage RC cars
Thought you only hung around here for the cooking, drinking and music threads
Very nice, do you still have it?
If so did you get your wheels and tires sorted?

Re: Custom Works Dominator resto (done for now 9/14)
FYI, most if not all Mini Mags did not have ridges.
Like the stock plastic 834B wheels, you glued the tires in place.

Re: Whoa! I'm the only member on-line...
Image1.jpg Noticed I was a loner about 9:40 this morning...didn't have time then to type out a joke, so here goes: A grade school teacher asked her students to use the word "fascinate" in a sentence. Molly put up her hand and said, "My family went to my granddad's farm, and we all sa...

Re: GoMachV's pin router v4: now pinless!
This one hasn't been too much into chewing on stuff in the shed but I keep a close eye on him. In the house he sticks to his toys and occasionally a slipper haha. Usually when we aren't paying enough attention to him. He knows it's wrong but it gets attention

Re: Motor Collection - Old School Horsepower
We have a large outbuilding which is used as a garage. You can get 6 cars in there parked up in two lines of three, at a push. Above that is a converted loft space which I use as a mancave and have all of my bikes up there. There will be room for the RC cars up there for sure as there is loads of sp...

Tinkering with a 10L
This is my latest project. I’m pretty excited to finally put this crazy idea that’s been stuck in my head for a while now Not only is the chassis lipo compatible (standard or shorty) but it also retains the T plate styling that is simple and effective, as well as the stock shock and dampener assembl...
