Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Thanks for this magazine link! I got sidetracked though on the Tamiya M-02 Beetle article, on pg. 38/78: Crazy to see a '97 magazine article with that body in it. I never read these magazines back then, I went to the shop by our house, and they had what they had, including my CE and GT, also bought...

Re: Traxxas Street Sport
I knew I subconsciously got that from somewhere. It was a 235 acre condo community nestled in the forest with 474 units. It was kind of hard to see as there wasn't much lighting but was fun and passed the time nevertheless. :) ...all the sudden wanting to be night security on a construction s...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Oh yeah... you've got a Hoonitruck... duh
Indeed, the width/offset of the 31mm wheels will put all the touring cars over 190mm.
Has a little bit of a gasser stance until you stretch the sides to get it down, but nice looking once you do
just begging for a set of 26mm Fuchs

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
The MST TCR-M is about the narrowest 1/10 touring car I know of at 164mm (optionally 173mm) but, even with their optional 245mm chassis plate it comes up about a half inch short of the Apex2's 259mm wheelbase... which looks like it lines up with the wheelbase of the body, yeah? Other options exist, ...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Thanks for the suggestions, guys! Last night I tried to buy the Tamiya 911 RSR Touring kit, it comes with the cheapest TT-02 chassis and the 911 body. I offered the guy $120, and he declined, will up the offer to $125 today, he wants $128 :D . I wouldn't call $128 the cheapest TT-02... Horizon Hobb...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Seller in Japan just accepted $125 for the Tamiya 911 RSR TT-02. The decision was made for me. More stoked on the body than the chassis at the moment. Congratulations! The 911 body (so pretty) and wheels would have cost more than all the hop up parts in the "R" kit so, can always add thos...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Thanks! I'm an IT subcontractor and I work from home, so in between jobs I have the time to build; whether it was vintage guitar amp clones, or restoring early 70's Marantz stereo's, if I have to sit here, I like to be productive. That's the reason for so many RC models lately, that and I don't hav...

Traxxas Lineup 1998
Traxxas' lineup of electric cars, trucks and boats from 1998 that devoted, quite interestingly, ad space to the recently updated Sledgehammer, which would share retail shelf space with its younger Stampede brother: Rustler: 1/10 2wd stadium truck released in 1994, spearheaded Traxxas' second generat...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
To my eyes, the Martini over silver was the worst Martini paint scheme. The silver seems to dull the stripes whereas the white base provided a great contrast. If those are the choices, I'd go with the street car. What?! Nuh uh... the Silver Martini scheme is awesome, and with the orange bum...
