Re: and the graphite finally makes an appearance
I doubt Thunder Tiger would even notice if these were never even re released. They will come and go. Not a lot of things outside this world like that. Imagine a car company building brand new 1988 Fieros for me today, I'd be in at any price. They wouldn't produce 'em if it didn't make money. I agre...

Re: Kyosho Nitro Thrasher
My first hobby grade R/C! :D If it wasn't such a great truck, there's a chance I'd have soured on the hobby, and RC10Talk would no longer exist today as a result. It had a few small faults though as the centers of the wheels broke easily under nitro power, and the bell crank steering components were...

Re: Kyosho Nitro Thrasher
It's a slim chance but still crazy to think about. A 'what-if' scenario if you will. I've never really considered it being based off the Inferno 10 before although similar, and I believe its parts work to eliminate the belts if desired. I always thought the Rampage, Outlaw Rampage, Thunderbird, Corv...

Re: Laser cut metal gears?
IIRC Send Cut Send recommends router cutting for gears as it's more precise and leaves a better finish. Then there's the $35 minimum order. Could have it made out of plastic since a dozen will cost as much as one... spares for a lifetime. Yeah, they can use water jet as well - depending on ma...

Re: The next rere... a GT?!!
I don't want the word Traxxass mentioned on this thread again...ever!
...K&B are classic engines..it's not hard for anyone to go that route, even if u have to buy the airplane backplate...but it looks like Jeff is getting that squared away.

DIY Single Color Vinyl Decals
As I am finishing up a project where I am creating stickers / decals for the body, and I have a couple of future projects where I will be doing the same, I thought I would throw a DIY out there for the process. Overall, the process can be divided into two main parts: 1) vinyl sheets cut to size, or ...

Re: DIY Single Color Vinyl Decals
Ah, I hit the attachment limit. When done weeding, we cut a piece of transfer tape to a little bigger than our decal size, and stick it on top. Then we gently remove the vinyl backing. This all sounds like a PITA, and it is a little, but with good vinyl and good transfer tape, these products are des...

Re: Kyosho Nitro Lineup 1993
That 911 is sweet! Had no idea that was out there. Kyosho also did that 930 Slant Nose too, didn't they? At some point in the mid-late 90's, the USA-1 Nitro Crusher became based off of the Inferno MP-5, they changed the gas tank too at that time. Thanks for posting these articles, didn't read the ma...

Re: Kyosho Nitro Lineup 1993
The tank and pan are very similar. Indeed the pans are very similar, I'd go so far to say deceptively so being the Inferno was an evolution of the Burns. But between the USA-1 N/C and inferno MP-5 the bulkheads, suspension, motor/drive systems, and their mounting points are all different. Cross ref...

And it's all done. The tires are the icing on the cake. I couldn't be happier with how this turned out.
