Re: RC Car Action archive online - Text format available
I have most of them from 88 to 92, so if you are looking for a specific vendor's ad, let me know I can dig through if you know a rough time frame or a specific car or something in the mag to help narrow down.

Re: Rc10ds question
Excellent question. That would be pretty cool to see a 4wd ds. I would say there needs to be some custom work on the front end to fit the trans.

Re: Jwscab's WOIN build(a little late by now)
she runs! Made a backup front shock tower also. It's nice when you find material you forgot you had. I found a 12"x12" sheet of this g10 material on the green side. perfect for this application. Still need to cut a wing and mount on some wire, and add some heat shrink to the CVD cup for pi...

Re: tools fer cheatin!
i used to use a jewelers screwdriver, the ones with the black tip and silver ribbed handles with the spinner on top. I had one probably 1/8" wide that was sort of stubby and fit in the slot nicely. I also used a pick tool sometimes. you can pry against the motor endbell and get the tab to start...

Re: Aftermarket SC10 Shocks for 10T?
there are lots of rc10t shock lots on ebay usually. Unless you need NIP, those are usually a great deal. this seller is a very good guy: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Associated-Rc10-Team-Rear-truck-Shocks-4911/132701262935?hash=item1ee59c9457%3Ag%3A1ncAAOSwTfFbR7g8&_sacat=0&_nkw=rc10+shocks&...

Re: The tale of 3 builds -OR- How projects multiply mysteriously
Nice!
When you did the dye, did you boil the parts? I'd make sure to boil any of the remaining ones that aren't dyed too. Traxxas nylon seems to get brittle. I wouldn't use the white rod ends either. They seem to be the weakest

Re: The tale of 3 builds -OR- How projects multiply mysteriously
I have heard that associated shock caps can fit on traxxas and vice versa. Might be worthwhile to try swapping a black plastic cap on there. also, in case you are interested, I think strc racing makes a top shaft that accepts a B4 slipper setup. its for a slash, but I believe it drops in. http://www...

Re: ** What's Old is New Tech Thread **
B44 cvds require some shimming adjustments with the hub carrier, the rpm one or losi/cw. The b4 is few mm longer so you need b4 hub carriers and some shimming.

Re: Any Budget Brushless Recommendations?
You want the higher power esc if you are running more than a 17.5.
I have the trackstar 17.5 combo which is really nice. You can get a 13.5 or 10.5 also which would be plenty fast.

Re: Oversized hinge pin holes, what to do?
They are usually ground in the hardened state.
Another option which I have done in the past is use brass tube with a 1/8" Id and make the od a light press fit and glue in place.

Re: Bormac's TRX-1 runner - HELP
I'm pretty sure the shock caps are available pretty easily. https://www.amainhobbies.com/traxxas-aluminum-shock-cap-blue-2-tra2760/p14867 your best best is to study the parts list and check ebay for parts. there a few trx1 specfic parts but others were used a few models and so it can be easier to fi...
