Re: Graphite RC10 build
You will probably have to notch out the chassis again in those spots in order to mount the arms in place. Those chassis are super frustrating. The Andy pro arrow fits as well as the heathen.

Re: ** 2021 Vintage Off-Road Nationals - R/C Excitement Inc., Fitchburg, MA - Sept. 24-26
yeah, it was a crap shoot on those doubles unless you hit them just right, consistently. On one hand, I could get my car to basically fly through that section. The very next lap it was flip flop barrel roll boom. I didn't take too many pics, but here are the three best ones.

Found this guy in a broken off and deteriorating log in Stokes State Forest in Northern New Jersey. About as big as your index finger or so.

Re: Making Aluminum Parts Like New Again; I.E. Clean But Not Shiny
I usually use scotch Brite to bring back a mostly raw finish. You can use high grit sandpaper, like 820 or something. Another great way to get a raw aluminum finish is glass bead blasting. That's probably the best.

Re: So You're Into RC Cars. WTF Else Do You Do?
I'm pretty much a car guy. I really like fabrication and machining too, so that parlays well into the rc stuff. I work with my brothers and dad on auto/hot rod stuff. Guys will come to my dad with a classic car or hot rod etc with problems or upgrades so we do some of that work. But we all have a bu...

Blue tub RC10 RPM build
I blew the dust off of one on my projects (actually, they don't really collect much dust, I open them up to review them and what parts I need to get the kit to 100%, or change things around) I have about 15 different 'kits' of buggies on my to do pile, and as I acquire and trade parts, sometimes I s...

Re: Blue tub RC10 RPM build
As of now, yes. I don't have the worlds rear parts for this one, nor white rpm rear ones either. it's something I'd like to change, but it's a cost/availability/worth calculation. Plus, I'm still on the fence for modifying the chassis(further). it has unfortunate servo holes and a notch already, so ...

Re: 870c drive shafts
Yokomo axles are unique with the set screw flats and no other way to attach hubs. A common thing is to switch to kyosho axles and a hex conversion. I could be off but I think for 870c, the axles needed are 68 and 73 mm bones. Kyosho really loves their parts and the price reflects that. There are a f...

Re: Vintage Nylon Parts Durability
Right, boiling the parts for 5-10 minutes works well, or you can throw in a container of room temp water for however long you want. This applies to associated parts and some Traxxas parts. DO NOT boil yokomo bulkhead caps or Traxxas trans halves. Throwing in room temp water for longer is safer if yo...

Re: Cat XLS pivot balls U7150
Yeah that's why. The 6mm hex is used to turn into a ball.
Same with the associated ball. Starts with 3/16" hex stock.

Re: RC10 Composite Craft Worlds build
It's a lexan body originally made by jammin jay products. It's got a bit of a groove in the roofline that would pick up the body mount of an rpm rear tower.
