Re: Restoration advice for Yokomo YZ metal parts
And don't sand those springs. The coating is very thin. I'd at best lightly scuff with scotch Brite, like the green dish scrubber if you don't know what that is they make different grit depending on the color of it and I think the grey is the finest. The springs are tough to replace.

Re: RC10 Carpet
Just make the bulkhead again in nylon, leave off all the extra adjustment holes and beef up the area for your ideal camber location. Nice work overall. Generally the front can be a smidge wider than the rear but not excessive. Associated offered . 89" shocks in blue on the rtr B4 cars, if you c...

Re: Associated's '89 Stealth car (RC10GX)
Could the rear black springs be yokomo?
I ended up using Tamiya olive drab on my Cliff Lett replica for the caps and rear springs. It is really close. It was a bit shiny so after paint I scuffed them with scotchbrite.

this is is the link to my build, the photos kinda suck, but you can see the color match of the shocks on several of them. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=44943&hilit=jwscab+cliff+lett https://www.amainhobbies.com/tamiya-ts28-olive-drab-lacquer-spray-paint-100ml-tam85028/p27880?...

Re: Can you I.D. these?
Yes I would clean everything up and assemble as two buggies with period correct gear. Any transmission today is going to be pricey but you could find 6 gears especially in pieces reasonably . I also second the a&l belt trans as a great addition. Part of the game is patiently waiting for the part...

Re: RC10 with RC10gt gearbox?
Correction. An Rc10DS transmission will work as it's an original stealth for buggy. An RC10NDS is a nitro car and the same trans as a gt trans and will not fit.

Re: TRX-1 Chassis CAD or Drawing
sorry for the delay, the crappy sketch and the imperial dimensions. :D I don't have a metric caliper or scale immediately at my disposal. these are not all of the dimensions, but should be plenty to confirm everything you need. If you have any particular questions, just ask. I'll say that the kick i...

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread
This is the set I have they work great for Tamiya style connectors, along a bunch of other types. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Pico-0660T-Weatherpack-Extractor-Tools-Set-of-3,264994.html I'd look really closely at that chassis, it looks like it could be a carbon wrap material. Can't say that I've ...

Re: best reproduction bodies in 2023?
Honestly it's just a crap shoot with lexan. Some fit better than others and really, most didn't fit great back in the day anyway.
I have bodies from sabulatech, jconcepts and tbg. All fit reasonably well, but it depends on which body because the quality of the mold dictates the fit.

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
A kid who enjoyed the crap out of that frog! And had no money for upgrades. Surprised that he was able to run it that long and not have serious hex drive issues.
I might have some grasshopper axles that look like that.

Re: RC10 Team Edition shock parts
Unfortunately, that's the breaks on these cars now..... Everything obsolete.
I can usually buy a set of used shock for 25-30 bucks and clean em up for spares.

Re: RC10 Team Edition shock parts
I think I found a couple of good washers that would be ideal candidates to purchase and then notch. Just need to spend the money on them and see. I dont need any currently so it's low priority
