Re: RC10 Worlds Car RE-RE - Disappointed
The original was better in a few places, unfortunately they are key areas. the aluminum screws are poor, ie, not really aircraft screws, some cheap facsimile. So swap them out for something better. the transmission has issues with a poor idler/case tolerance and poor quality control on the top shaft...

Re: RC10 Worlds Car RE-RE - Disappointed
no, bulkhead is about the same overall. they adjusted the battery box however to fit a lipo, basically trimmed the bottom off. the silver springs have been around forever, standard kit parts, no real change there. the metal is extremely close to the originals as well as the plastics, so it's probabl...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - July 2019 ** - Winner - orangemazda
My older son's new build. He helped me build most of it. Think of it as a stealth CE set up like a re-release worlds car. Gold pan, custom blue anodized shocks. 17.5 brushless system. Salvaged original Mirage body that had the wrong type of paint on it. Not too bad, not too great for some running wi...

Re: What should I do with a RC10 World's Car?
if it's truly an original worlds car from the 1993-era and basically brand new, yes it will be worth more than an old beat up gold pan model. The re-release is not as easily available as it once was, so it's really your call. As of the end of 2018 into this year, lots of the parts have become discon...

Re: Want to try brushless
I have three turnigy trackstar combos running right now and they work great. I'm using them with 17.5 motors, but no issue, very quiet and smooth. I have not pushed them very hard and they run cool, I think I need to experiment with gearing up. definitely get the programming module, it's very easy t...

Re: Shock Ball ends.
The originals are going to be hard to find now as the source is drying up. You can use alternative ones from associated and run a nut behind the ball to approximate the built in spacer on the original. The ones you mentioned will also work with the same spacing.

Re: Shock alternatives?
if you already have the shocks and just need to rebuild them, you can just buy O-rings and reuse the plastic parts. you can get the rings in lots of places, I usually buy them in large qty's from mcmaster-carr. 1/8" ID, 1/4" OD. O-rings (orange) 9396K11 $3.55/25

Re: Shock alternatives?
depends on your method of extraction and installation. Carefully done, there really is no reason for them to 'wear out'. if you consistently bend them past the yield point, maybe 3-4 times?

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Yes the final machining is done post anodizing. I highly doubt it is reanodized after.

this one has me stumped for sure.
green chassis is totally weird. doesn't look painted, looks like glass but looks too nice to be handmade, AND has a kickup. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Team-Associated-RC10-Graphite-carbon-Vintage-Buggy-Associated/264453916440?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26m...
