Re: 2014 Kyosho Beetle
Decided to call the driver done, the windows are so hazy on this model that the detail is lost a bit, and so are the mistakes thankfully. https://i.imgur.com/2rwD0n2.jpg No eyes, not going to ruin this one. https://i.imgur.com/9nFdh26.jpg Added a dashboard LED. TkEnFRIBmqw Headlights working also. 6...

Re: 2014 Kyosho Beetle
Got the 12mm hex spacers and drilled one out to fit the axle. https://i.imgur.com/7pxXHkA.jpg Leaves a large gap where the bearing can float out of the trailing arm. https://i.imgur.com/kemDcGO.jpg Realized that I was overthinking this, and put the original Beetle friction drive back on, offset and ...

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue
Got three coats of primer on

I need to fix some spots, now that I can see them better.
What is the final grit you guys sand your primer to, before paint?

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue
Really appreciate your input, guys, thanks! I'll go over the bad spots in 1000 grit with water, and then finish up with 1500 or above, wet. Wasn't sure if I could do that, this is the first time I've painted with primer. https://i.imgur.com/ZRXi1rD.jpg https://i.imgur.com/vgxdAL0.jpg https://i.imgur...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
Ebay seller just left, he hand delivered this, and refunded the shipping charge in cash. Best ebay deal ever, in over 24 years. https://i.imgur.com/nqsl6qJ.jpg Has the front sway bar too. This one is pretty mint, besides the extra steering servo hole. I'm not sure if I can bring myself to Dead Pool ...

RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - '85 Jammin' Jay Halsey Tribute
Recently received this RC10 from ebay. Got it torn down and cleaned.

One of the idler gears, ASC#6613, has a couple chips out of the teeth.

Is there anyone making those for sale?

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
That must be it! I could tell from the pics of the movie car, it was a 27Mhz Rx, but didn't know about the antenna color difference. All of the FP-R4H I could find, are 72Mhz, I need the 27Mhz one. Thanks for that! Bought a cheap Futaba MC 112B, and a cheap FP-R4H 72Mhz, under $50 for both. I'll kee...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
Found someone 3D printing the asc6614 gears for $10, many people have bought them, and no complaints, quite the opposite it would seem.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
I'm guessing that comment wasn't posted by Kevin Talbot. Actually, doing wheelies really isn't harmful. It's the sudden shock to the drive train from the tires losing then suddenly gaining grip under throttle as the car lands from a jump or drives over rough terrain that really tests the inte...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
Ah, I've seen that before -- it eliminates all droop in the suspension which can be bad but probably not a big deal if the car ran on a dead flat surface. Over a rougher surface however, the tires would literally skip over the surface stressing the drive train and making the car really hard to driv...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Order 2628 Chassis 1506 Seems to be no correlation. Here's the 40th between an A stamp on the left, and a C stamp on the right, the 40th has a luster to it, more of a gold hue than orange. https://i.imgur.com/dJRwmx3.jpg https://i.imgur.com/VQxqpJy.jpg Am definitely glad I got one of them now, was w...
