There's a guy selling a 6-pack of 40th's on ebay (apparently they come (6) to a case). Would be curious to open all (6) of these and look at the chassis numbers. He wants $2,800, or $466 per unit.

Re: My first RC10T. But, what is it?
Andy's painted bodies are incredible, like the Horizon Hobby paint scheme he does. https://i.imgur.com/ucBRUhE.jpg https://i.imgur.com/rgrvsbX.jpg I bookmarked this link, and just watch the cool things he puts up there once or twice a week. Great place to draw inspiration from. https://www.ebay.com/...

Re: 2014 Kyosho Beetle
Got the front bearing adapters recommended by juicedcoupe , thanks again! They work perfectly to adapt the smaller Kyosho axle and bearing to the larger Tamiya wheel hub. Will paint the adapters flat black, like the VW brake drums were. https://i.imgur.com/QCl9flE.jpg https://i.imgur.com/PWolFsD.jpg...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Anyone know the name of the condition, or sickness, that compels one to build the wheels first, with every model?

Can't quit doing this. Cart before the horse syndrome?

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Amain sold the (24) they had, or (4) cases.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/404977430099
The AE sticker only has four digits, they can't make more than 9999.
If this were the Price is Right, circa '85: I'm going to bid 9999 units, Bob.

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
I'm guessing it makes you a wheelophile? Anyway, those look nice. Where did you find them? BTW, a word of caution when you are fitting the body. Drill the front body post hole last and ignore the center point that is marked -- it's way too far aft. :x Wheelophillia :D, or rimplaysia. Thanks!...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
I'm thinking about painting the boxart stripes on, like Andy does. I'm no where near that skill level, but I have Polycarbonate Cleaner, and can keep trying. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=24555 I hear the long decals that run the length of the body under the windows, are too wide in one s...

Your post at the top of the page is the first result. Not the first of one million results, but the first result... ever. You just created history. Sure, it's not the invention of the wheel... but if someone reads your post, then scrolls down and see's my post directing them to google rimplaysia, w...

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
I had Andy's paint my 40th body. I hate and am terrible at trimming so I asked if he would do that, too. He did for an additional fee and it's absolutely perfect! I just have to ream the mounting holes. Congrats! Can't get a better boxart result, than an Andy's. Went with his RC10GT body recently, ...

RC10 40th Anniversary boxart - Striped Decals vs Painted Stripes
Closer look. https://i.imgur.com/Ah2gycg.jpg The red/white arrow points to the location on the boxart body where the decal is too wide, and it won't stay stuck to the body. The red arrow shows how the decal bunches up in the rear corners. Andy's painted stripes. Pro. https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/Q...

Re: RC10 40th Anniversary boxart - Striped Decals vs Painted Stripes
Will definitely try the decals on body #1. But I have read more than a few times now, that the stripe decals will come up after time, even on the shelf. I already have the 1mm Tamiya curved tape, and the other Tamiya masking tapes for painting the stripes the correct widths. Not sure I'll like the r...
