Rook's Tx from the movie. https://i.imgur.com/pKuYpsP.jpg Pretty sure I have those same gloves too . $10 from ebay. https://i.imgur.com/cDiddKQ.jpg Came with tiny little vintage G plug servos and another FP-R4H. https://i.imgur.com/srI9drV.jpg https://i.imgur.com/nN0BaY6.jpg Just found out that...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
Got the arms apart, and the hardware cleaned. https://i.imgur.com/exqqg0o.jpg Been in the sun for about two hours, and was in the peroxide out of the sun for two hours, four hours total so far. https://i.imgur.com/9tdJ82B.jpg Still see stains on the gear case and shock parts. Only have about 2 hours...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
Built the 6-gear for TDP car, and the 40th.

Using the asc6693 spur, I have two leftover diff balls from the inner ring. The outer ring I wouldn't have enough of these.

Was I supposed to buy more diff balls to use this 48p?

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
I've lost track of the total number of balls you have but I think you'll want to fully populate the outer set of holes and ignore the inner ones. Having the balls in the outer holes will transfer power more effectively than having them in the inner ones. I'll give it a try immediately, thanks! I gu...

The diff balls on the outside are much better, thanks @XLR8!

Should be easier to complete this from here on out.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
Done with the peroxide, it did help a bit.
Worst side first.

Still some sun damage on the gear cases and front arms.

Now I can get back to rebuilding the 6-gear, and finish this.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
Those parts look fantastic! The slight shading from the sun just gives it character and let's everyone know this one's a legit, OG, Made in America RC10. :D Thanks! They did come out really clean. I was worried when I pulled the parts out of the peroxide at first, they were still brown and reddish ...

Tiny lip inside the gear. https://i.imgur.com/PSKHsuG.jpg M5 screw fits inside the gear, but contacts the metal sleeve attached to the bearing. https://i.imgur.com/2CjOuE4.jpg Pinion puller came in handy again. https://i.imgur.com/Glm2Qf0.jpg Gear removed. https://i.imgur.com/l0vuENH.jpg Time to put...

Re: we all have big toys too don't we? show off your ride!
I can't post pictures of my big toys. What's stopping you? I live in NY and it's a communist anti 2nd Ammendment state. I live in CA, but wasn't born here. Grew up at 5 years old with a BB gun and an Uncle Henry pocket knife, around 8 or so, got the .22 rifle and a Bowie knife. Wasn't anything mena...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
Funny part is they didn't add that part of the instructions to the 40th manual and only show 2 small spacers on the shaft, no surprise if you run the car that way the axles hit the arms which led me to look up the old instructions. https://i.imgur.com/w1eK5fD.jpg There are a couple big differences ...

Took a quick inventory of the project.

Last parts to dye and re-dip.

In the bath now.

Back in 20 with the results.
