Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

Chassis 1506 reporting in. https://i.imgur.com/qRqNYdw.jpg Next to an original, the 40th is outstanding, really smooth suspension and gearbox - looks incredible. https://i.imgur.com/vDLJWT8.jpg Wasn't sure on this when I preordered it, after reading up on the 2013, and CC, but the 40th is the one to...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

The first car, 1CW0562 - which was rumored to have been run over on the set by a movie crew truck - had the hobby grade foil bumpers on the exterior: https://i.imgur.com/PO5L0w2.jpg But car #2, or 1LKI623, has the shabby rushed tin foil bumpers. https://i.imgur.com/QWEbp6o.jpg Since the body I have ...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

I was recommending the Spaz Stix for the knock offs, but if you decide to use it on the bumpers, it’s almost mirror on the outside of the body. I’ll take a picture of the bumper I pictured earlier later, if you would like to see it? Would definitely appreciate seeing the Spaz Stix on the outside of...

Very Nice! If you don't mind, do you have a chassis pic, and #, you'd share?

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

Now I want to find the expensive NMB bearings, and use light oil . Thanks guys! I'll still go ahead and do everything in the Halsey guide, why not, I'm in no hurry on this one, just want it to be the best it can be for an old RC10; I also like the idea of having it race ready, even though I ma...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

Jammin Products made diff tubes and hubs that are already machined. The tube was also better. I see Jammin Products Diff Tube and Outer Hub available, but it doesn't look like they have the D cut version. Would you know what they called the D hubs at Jammin Products? Thanks! You really can't make D...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

Not familiar with Jammi'n products so I had to look it up. This looks like a well-engineered kit: In a way, it seems a shame that the Stealth tranny has rendered it obsolete. Thanks for finding this article! It does show the Double locks, or two straight lines in the hubs also (of course it should ...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

The Revell #39628 Chrome Spray, is pretty amazing. I'm terrible at painting, always in the wind, and either too heavy or leaving a weird texture. Revell was really easy to get a good result. On the left are the Rustoleum and Jenolite painted knockoffs, the (3) on the right are Revell, notice the des...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

FWIW the original AE steering bellcrank is bright white and a much harder plastic. Fan RC is not the correct color. It's possible he did that on purpose or decided to use the same nylon as the other parts. AE_bellcrank.JPG That's all true and the original parts were not reinforced and were known to...
