Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
Finally addressed the toe setting of the front wheels, can get it close enough by eye, but this RPM toe-in gauge helps confirm. The manual settings gave it the worst toe-out. https://i.imgur.com/IV9oCNZ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/IASXOlj.jpg The RPM camber gauge is a must have, especially when the manu...

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
Tamiya F104 tires are an option for stock wheels and handle darn good you also want 2° camber front and rear 🤙🏻 https://www.rc10talk.com/download/file.php?id=176803&t=1 That's a great option with the F104 slicks, looks exactly right. They look like they would fit a lot easier in aftermarket bod...

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue
The TS-13 Clear Gloss will finally be here tomorrow, 8 days to get aerosol paint, because it has to be ground shipped. Removed some of the bleed and overspray with 99% alcohol, weeks after it was painted. https://i.imgur.com/Lr8EYbo.jpg https://i.imgur.com/dpp4MeI.jpg Looking forward to getting this...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
This VW Dual Cab body will not fit on anything, and it wasn't cheap trying to get it to fit. Turns out it's 190mm width body - who needs that and for what?? I still can't figure out what chassis is 190mm, everything I have is 200mm. 190mm is 1/10 touring car regulation max width so the body was mad...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Thanks for this magazine link! I got sidetracked though on the Tamiya M-02 Beetle article, on pg. 38/78: Crazy to see a '97 magazine article with that body in it. I never read these magazines back then, I went to the shop by our house, and they had what they had, including my CE and GT, also bought...

Re: looks like we need a rere associated ReRe DS section next!
Just finished the transmission and it has a tight spot. I suspect the molded idler gear/shaft and/or diff gear are not concentric but I haven't yet confirm. Top gear is fully machined so it's probably fine. The spot is random so it's probably a combination of things. Anyone else having this problem...

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue
I looked for hobby shops in my area that carry Tamiya spray, there are none under an hours drive away, I have to have it delivered. Makes me want to get an airbrush, but Tamiya colors are hard to beat. The TS-13 got here too late to spray this evening, but tomorrow should be a productive day, might ...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Those are sweet! I can't get any 26mm wheels to work with this body, including my MK2 Fazer, but now I think I need those RPM wheels, hadn't seen those before. Thanks!MarkyDents wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2024 8:45 am Maybe these would work…

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue
Your Grand Hauler with the tank is incredible! You need a thread for it here in the Tamiya section, would like to know if it has sound, lights, and how much is controlled from the Tx, and also where did the custom KW decals and the grill come from? Video of it cruising would pretty much get me to se...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024
Seller in Japan just accepted $125 for the Tamiya 911 RSR TT-02. The decision was made for me. More stoked on the body than the chassis at the moment. Congratulations! The 911 body (so pretty) and wheels would have cost more than all the hop up parts in the "R" kit so, can always add thos...

Brand new TS-13 can, held the button down and didn't let up until the can was empty.
