QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Recently purchased the QIDI Plus4, they currently have a 5% off deal on their website, with free shipping, and no tax. I used the Paypal 4-pay, so I'm in for about $210 so far, including the PLA filament ($27). https://qidi3d.com/products/plus4-3d-printer The QIDI Plus4 can do PPS-CF carbon fiber fi...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Which support type do you use, for the best results? I generally use Tree supports... But tree supports can be hard sometimes : everything needs to be in perfect state for it work : filament extrusion properly calibrated, bed perfectly clean, and filament perfectly dry (sometimes, even with a new r...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Success finally! https://i.imgur.com/43XUJts.gif Laying the motors on their back is how it was supposed to be done. https://i.imgur.com/5pEEqSg.jpg So much less support material to remove, once it is oriented correctly. https://i.imgur.com/POrkiDu.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Zi0URZA.jpg https://i.imgur....

Re: Toys in the Attic
Thanks for the encouragement with the rc10gt I’ll post something in the rc10t forum shortly. Right now I’m just trying to figure out what wheels fit. The battery in my digital caliper is dead so I’m unable to measure the axle. I’m unsure if it’s 3/16 or 1/4. My guess is 3/16. The motor in the gt is...

Re: Inexpensive Airbrush kit - Beginner Level
Finally starting to get some good results with this setup. Even though these Createx WC paints are made to be sprayed out of the bottle, I had better results with adding their reducer to paint at a 10% ratio, sprayed really well, no clogs, and excellent for wide open pressure and needle. https://i.i...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
This was using the 0.2mm layer height, or the fastest setting. Very little supports to clean on this. https://i.imgur.com/ilChk21.jpg https://i.imgur.com/BZE4vQE.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lh1tUg1.jpg https://i.imgur.com/lllniGz.jpg Have more filament coming tomorrow, and then I'll print the dune buggy...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Nothing I could find, would load those Knight Customs Prusa G-codes that were provided. Personnally, I would not load a G-Code made by someone else into my machine, and this even if it was designed for my machine. There is some aspects you can't anticipate, because they are filament dependent and e...

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
Rule #1 about Amazon descriptions: Never trust the description! I have a handful of the knockoff deans they work for low power stuff fine but they aren't made of copper like Deans. Instead they are often made of gold plated steel as they are magnetic. Steel is a pretty crappy conductor and will hea...

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue
Getting back to the Tamiya's. I wanted to push this Sand Scorcher build just a bit higher, if possible. This will be a shelf relic, and was the holy grail to me as a kid. There are (3) different VW motors available in 3d print form, for the Sand Scorcher: https://i.imgur.com/fU2kOMh.jpg https://i.im...

Re: Team Losi RC Racer Video Game
Hadn't remembered this one, was fun for a brief moment.

Blockbuster rent-to-own, modchips, ROM's, and 4:3 rear projection, were all part of the good old days.

Man, that's a lot of stickers. Your headlight decal application came out great. Well done sir! Was it as difficult as you thought :?: Overall, it looks awesome!! :D Much thanks! It was more difficult than I thought it would be, didn't seem like it would be as big of a chore as those VW Bus bo...
