Kyosho LeMans Motors

In 1984 Kyosho debuted their own line of LeMans brushed motors as an upgrade to the standard Mabuchi RS 540 motor. The LeMans series, a moniker inspired by the famed grand prix endurance race and French town after which the race is named, initially began with five modified motors but would grow to i...

Repainted RC12L

Older RC12L body from a purchase a while ago. Not really sure the manufacturer of the body.
Repainted with somewhat vintage theme.
The AE decals were original to the body, might need a few more though.

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

Reference image taken from Bambulab filament guide. Note the highlighted descrition for "seal with dessicant" https://i.imgur.com/zRja0IP.png And this is not unique to Bambulab filament, this is inherent to the material used. Nylon, Polycarbonate for example are really moisture sensitive f...

A Nice article on self-tapping screws for plastic

I was looking for some spare screws for some toy grade rc cars, as well as my son jegs stinger. I ran across the below article when looking for information on thread count/pitch. https://engineeringproductdesign.com/knowledge-base/self-tapping-screws-for-plastics/ It's a nice read but some key point...

Hi, joined the forum specifically because of your build thread, love the work you’ve done on recreating this car and I’m planning on making my own as always loved the Dirty Harry films and remember going to the cinema to see The Dead Pool when I was 16. Do you have contact details for dhawk that you...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

The test print look good! :D Those belly plates will be easy to model, print and attach. Although the floor assembly print isn't meant to be structural, the plates should add some rigidity making it less brittle. We can add a full aluminum pan to the top side of the frame assembly to give the bus a ...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

That's excellent! Thank you for supplying reference photos for the belly plates and cargo floor.
How thin do you think I can model them and still have useable prints?
I've made the walls for the frame 1mm but could we have made them thinner??

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines

So I have a P1s with the supplied spool of PLA and I'm ready to print for the first time. I use a basic flip phone and care nothing about the Handy App or Bambu cloud, I simply want to send my files directly from my laptop to the printer via wifi connection. However, when I navigate to WLAN for con...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer

... Some would even advise to do temperature tower, Flow calibration, Pressure advance calibration for each new roll of filament, even if it is same color/brand than the previous one used. Oh no, not fun. That would be the tipping point for me. For designs that require the highest strength po...

Kyosho Big Brute

In 1987 Kyosho released the Big Brute, their first of five (Big Brute, Big Boss, Double Dare, Hi-Rider, USA-1) 1/10 2wd electric monster trucks built on this platform. Constructed primarily out of plastic the Big Brute rode on a deeply molded tub chassis complete with top cover to keep the electroni...

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines

Really looking forward to seeing @XLR8 get to 3d print, and comfortably from WiFi on a laptop. A cheap Walmart tablet with a camera on the back would be the quickest way, no phone SIM/plan, and take it back once the bind is complete; then set the Bambu to LANonly mode afterwards. https://www.walmar...
