Re: Futaba FM/PCM 27 MHz and 75 MHz
There are many more 75MHz frequencies available than 27MHz, which I think there are only six frequencies in the USA. Regarding your TX module switching from 27 to 75MHz, I'm not sure that's possible. But I'd like to know too because I have a PCM1024 FM Futaba that has the module. But I was always un...

Re: Futaba FM/PCM 27 MHz and 75 MHz
As far as I know the modulation is in the module so I think you can freely swap module bands. I know the earlier radios had different length antennas based on the band 27/75mhz. I believe the 27FM/PCM was designed for international travel as most countries allow the 27mhz band. Ideally you'd want to...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
Also need to figure out what to do with this. https://i.imgur.com/sSGMO9M.jpg Delima... They're exceedingly cool and your gut instinct was to buy and install a new one... given the package is damaged it likely wouldn't be a consideration for a NIP parts collection so, if no one asks if they can buy...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
I say slap it on. I think gear covers for Stealth with hydra can be found. I saw one somewhere recently...
Edit: Not if you are gonna run it though. But for display of goodies of the era.

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
This kit was no joke, not sure how someone could install this between races, it was very involved... Don't know anyone did, was more of an install-at-home thing. Tuning it was nearly as difficult. Something regular slipper clutches had over it, quicker/easier adjustments. Multiple 'Drives with thei...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
That blue one looks like you don't need to convert the Rooster. Red is the middle wire just like Futaba. But your current servo would need to be converted.

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
That has the Airtronics Z plug, which is wired the same as a Futaba J. However, the Z plug is a bit on the "petite" side, requiring you to trim down most other plug housings to fit.

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
Is there a special tool to remove the Tamiya battery connector? I need to solder the JST adapter to the Rooster plug, for the BEC. Can't figure out how to get that off without ruining anything. https://i.imgur.com/UUcCC76.jpg https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=548015&hilit=pin+extractor#p...

Re: RC10 Gold Pan - C stamp?
In the video from '93, at 7:53, he made it sound like Brian Kinwald changed to the Hydra Drive between qualifying races; perhaps I inferred more than was there. I haven't run the kit yet, but I was expecting this to be like putting a fly wheel weight on a two-stroke dirt bike, to smooth out the pow...
