Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

Yes, I have no problem with you sending a picture of my wheels. That would simplify getting a set made. He made them Nov 2022 and probably still has the design files. I initially struggled to find a 1963 Corvette body and got the 1967 HPI too. Not sure what I'll do with the HPI now. That is the TBG ...

My Stepfather passed away a few years ago, and left behind his '67 Corvette to my Mom and I, so I'm building a tribute to it.

Whoa! Awesome! Stinger hood means it is a big block car, correct? :D (Ford guy, so Corvette knowledge is limited and likely mistaken)

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

I will be running rubber. The rears are Schumacher U6710 tires. Also, I specified that I'll be using 3/16" rear axles. . 1000009153.jpg . On the movie car, I think it was determined there were foams on the rear and rubber ribs on the front. If you want to run rear foams, Jimmy might be willing ...

Robobugs has a good article on this car. They show the tires to be foam. Hope this helps.

Re: Great American R/C Hobby Shop Directory 2025 (list is post #1)

Excellent work! ...I really want this to be legit. Thanks ! Mudslide Motorsports is legit. They're the current owners of RJ Speed, the successor to BoLINK... wait... did I not put them on the list??? Well that egregious oversite has been rectified... ...I don't think they have a retail showro...

Has anyone ever confirmed the diameter of the wheels? It would need to accept foam tires.

Thanks, limestang

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

Changing to a foam tire configuration just means having a smooth, no rib outside. That should be easy enough. When I got my wheels, Dhawk didn't have the smaller rear wheels in their product offerings. They do now, at least as 3 piece wheels.

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

There has to be a story behind the front license plate. It is different in one of the photos. I wonder if Jay crashed the car at some point or maybe it just took a beating. The front plate matches the rear in most pics, but shows damage in some.

This photo has the different number plate:

Is this the Team Blue Groove 1963 Corvette, you have? https://teambluegroove.com/products/vintage-1963-corvette-body-touring-1-10-trans-am-series-xray-corally-losi From those images that looks like a touring car body. The original was a wide pan car body. Parma I believe. I’m a big movie nerd, I de...

The description says touring, but it's too wide wide for a touring car.

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

Well that body looks pretty wide so it may work very well. With that painted Bolink body picture the biggest telltale that it’s not the movie car body is the sharp ridge down the roof line.

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

After looking at pictures and reading numerous posts, here’s my best estimate on the wheels: Rear - 1.5” OD, 1.3” Width, 0.15” Negative Offset, Foam Tires Front - 1.5” OD, 0.7” Width, 0.19” Negative Offset, Foam Tires with 4 grooves Does this seem reasonable? Hopefully I calculated the offset correc...

Correct, the Deadpool body does not.
