Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

Re: Tamiya Polycarbonate Metallic Paint - Backing colors

If this one doesn't work out, there are two Kyosho Nostalgic bodies listed on eBay right now. Both are the full kits with chrome bumpers and side pipes.

Re: Tamiya Polycarbonate Metallic Paint - Backing colors

I was too impatient and pulled the tape before it dried, no black as a result, and two silver tests. https://i.imgur.com/YKqa7lQ.jpg Chrome paint pen vs Tamiya X-11 for lexan aluminum chrome testing, next to Blue test. https://i.imgur.com/gu57XdC.jpg Looks like Bright Silver is the way to go, in or...

Re: Tamiya Polycarbonate Metallic Paint - Backing colors

When doing backing color tests, I don't bother with tape. I just use paper shields.

Re: Tamiya Polycarbonate Metallic Paint - Backing colors

Car is looking good. Might not be the Nassau blue you intended, but it's just about bang on for Admiral blue. Very pretty as is. 👍 Depending on how far you want to go there are a few options... If you just want the stinger in white, Hobby Lobby sells single 8.5x11 vinyl sheets for $1.50/sheet. They'...

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024

Your HPI body should be a 200mm wide body, so you'll want to be sure your chassis options are intended for that body width.

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024

Keep it vintage. T*****s Street Sport, or if you prefer a pan car, Tamiya F103GT.

I'll dig for it, but I have a picture of an HPI 200mm Mustang GT on an old Street Sport chassis that I sold a while back. It was a donut machine.

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024

The Fazer also comes in two different chassis lengths, so one may fit your body better than the other. It is a good choice for a cheap onroad basher with readily available parts.

3 Racing Sakura was a decent low budget car, no idea what the models are now though.

Re: 1/10 Scale On-Road - Chassis Options in 2024

Had a guy today wanting to trade his Losi V100's. New open box '69 Camaro and '72 Chevy Truck... almost PM'd to see if you wanted them.

New from A-main, Et al. they're only like $150 shipped+tax... 10.25 wheelbase 193mm AWD on-road RTR.
