I'm embracing the big ass battery idea.
Created some battery hold downs, swapped the 3d printed standoffs for aluminum ones, got some fresh JConcepts tires demounted and put onto a set of my Pro wheels.

No. Unfortunately I was a financially strapped college student back in the early '80's so the SS was sold. I don't even have photos - very sad about that. I actually did my letter with a toothpick and tamiya paint.

That's what was nice with toothpick you can use clean one to remove any that goes outside the line.

That is extremely, and I mean extremely, rare to see a Tamiya kit missing screws. I actually don't recall ever seeing that happen
