Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
Those chemical based paints don't play well with liquid mask, so I would test on something first before you try it on the body.

Minty car AND cash back? If your favorite song was playing on the radio I'd say you hit the trifecta. :P  Well done. Didn't know you were contemplating a Hasley car... It'd make an excellent candidate for that if you're hesitant to take dye to it. Radio from the screen grab is a T3PG, has a &qu...

Sorry to inform you but the transmitter the kid is using in the movie is a Magnum (not a Junior or Sport).

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
Sweet buggy, looks like you picked up a really good looking car. I don't believe you'd be money ahead buying a cheaper one. The nicer the car is when you start, the less time/money/effort you'll spend in the end. Much thanks! The seller is actually driving it over here, right now, he called and sai...

I have never seen a Magnum Racer. Looks to be a re-badged Junior??? Maybe a RTR model?

Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary
Didn't think it was going to happen today, but apparently it will be here shortly. The last hub is 15 minutes from here. https://i.imgur.com/oATmKGA.jpg Driver couldn't figure out how to get in the building here, so no delivery today, will be lucky to see it Monday when this happens. I hope AE will...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
What the heck?!? Where are the integral steel gears on the outdrives? That doesn't look right.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
- With the release of the CC and 40th anniversary cars, there's a chance that AE might release a batch of new ones. - Same as above, you can look on Ebay for guys parting out new cars. - You can still find new original gears on Ebay from time to time. Expect them to be pricey. The newer black ones a...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
The newer editions of the gears are beige.
That was for the 2013 as well as the cc release.
Does anyone know if they are sturdier than the original gears?

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
No benefit, acts like no diff.
You’ve got everything you need there to make it functional as a diff again.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear
The RC10 6 gear didn't include a slipper clutch. Many folks these days mistake the diff for a slipper - like those on the Stealth tranny.
Looks like you have 64dp spur and pinion.
That's a really nice clean survivor. You're lucky to find it.
