Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

Oooo... very nice wheels... those look light just sitting there. As pretty as the wheels are though, the Revell paint is shocking. That is a night and day difference compared to the paint pens. A lot of awesome in those two posts. You mentioned painting the bumpers... the original TDP car used chrom...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

Wonder if the Parma bodies will ever make a comeback too. www.slotcarstore.net/pages/PARMA-RC-Bodies-T1622.html www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=48592 ...one email away from finding out if you can get one. Totally understand on taking artistic liberty's, it's generally a more fun way to travel.

Re: Tamiya Sand Scorcher - 2010 Reissue

Yes, those are fingernail stars for women . They are the perfect scale size to try to make this happen. Perfect! I bought some of those for an Evel Knievel themed buggy but wasn't sure they would work on the inside of the lexan, so I haven't tried it yet. For the helmet they should work well. ...

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?

I am so happy to see that Cliff and Curtis are still involved with AE -- with Cliff as senior engineer consultant and Curtis as racing product development director. According to Linkedin, former company president Shawn Ireland left AE late last year and even former marketing director Jeff Johns (Axi...

Re: Tamiya Lunch Box - Black Edition

It's super easy to slam a lunchbox. Just take off the lower block front and year, and use the chassis just like a hornet or grasshopper, then run hornet/grasshopper wheels and street tires. It's how my lunchbox lived forever because when I got it, it was just a box of parts, some of which were missi...

Re: Tamiya Lunch Box - Black Edition

If you are going to do it to the pumpkin, you'll have to watch the shock shafts, probably have to do something different. The lunchbox with the van body doesn't care how far the shock rods stick up. The pumpkin body I think has some limits. You may also have to find different springs or trim the spr...

Re: Chrome Spray for Lexan

While it definitely isn't "chrome", I use Duratrax Silver Streak on bumpers and such. It is metallic and reflects well in sunlight (its overcast today, so...).

It also works great as a neutral backer.

Re: Chrome Spray for Lexan or Plastics

The Revell on the outside of the plastic isn't very durable from my experience. It depends on the black backer for its strength.

edit: ignore me! I confused my Revell and my Spaz Stix.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

Factory Works bellcrank setup would be even better, and it has color options now.

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

Want to keep this one a stock example of a mid-late Edinger, on the outside, bearings and 6-gear hopup can't really be seen, but felt. Natural color is selectable to the right of the photo... Natural Color Steering.JPG ...you can also stiffen up the servo saver by cinching both sides together with ...

Kyosho Fantom EP-4WD EXT Gold - 60th Anniversary - kit 30644

I have already a Fantom, but my son is actually taking it more and more when there is a vintage event and the possiblity to drive it on the track. And since it is probably my favorite onroad racer, I had to solve this... Here comes the 60th anniversary EXT gold version. I have it sitting under my de...
