Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
What's slowing the battery pack down is the left over solder job from the PO, he must've used a blow torch to solder those on there. where are you located? I could have it done for you. We have countless soldering tools at my business and could likely get it looking excellent. In any event just nee...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood
sounds good. offer is always there. We have mostly Pace soldering tools but we have a Hakko 805 for heavy duty stuff. The 888 should have enough power for those w/ the correct tip and flux. And definitely flood some new solder on there, and I'm sure you know but not some lead free BS w/ higher melti...

Anyone else having trouble seeing the images? Not coming through. Very interested in seeing the wheel tire combo you developed.

I use a large (like 1/4") chisel tip for batteries.
With that braid on the batteries, you might have to flood some more solder into it for better heat transfer.

Re: What's in the mail? Or, What are you currently waiting for?
Do you know what those tires went to? No idea. Never seen anything like it before. I like em tho! coincidently, I was browsing ebay for tires this morning and saw those. They are pro-line 114-R. https://www.ebay.com/itm/305689346362 https://www.ebay.com/itm/326206654846 and looks like this seller h...

RC10L Wheels, Tires & Donuts - Details & Deep Dive (help needed)
I have spent little snippets of time over the past 20 years or so studying up on wheels and tires for the RC10L. I feel like the more time that passes the more some of this info is lost. Back Story Back in the day in 1989 I bought an RC10L. Living in a small town it was almost impossible to get spar...

Re: RC10L Wheels, Tires & Donuts - Details & Deep Dive (help needed)
Recently I found a 1991 TRC catalog that gave me hope. This is where I realized the TRC BBS wheels are also 1.95” diameter. Furthermore, TRC offered many variations of these BBS wheels and also sold donuts for them. Here is what I found specific to the BBS-style wheel & tire: TRC Donuts for BBS ...

I picked this up on Ebay. It should be here today or tomorrow 👍 https://www.rc10talk.com/download/file.php?id=175782&t=1 I had bookmarked that one, looks like you got a really good deal. The body was the only thing that held that auction back, with a new paint job that will be really nice. Are ...

Re: Futaba MC-111B
Yellow is positive and blue is negative. I don't think reverse was proportional I want to say it was like 30% power with no variable, the pot adjusts where the brake stops and the reverse starts. Not like most where you have brake for a few seconds then reverse or brake on the first pump and reverse...

Re: Futaba MC-111B
On my Playtron Doberman I mounted a 112b.
My motor wires are orange and blue.
I have the orange as positive and the blue as negative.
It's hard to see but the upper connection on the motor is labeled +
Edit: Hard to beat GoMach to the punch
