Re: So You're Into RC Cars. WTF Else Do You Do?
Even though I'm a Windows guy... er was. (It's all crap these days.) Macs in the '80s were my first introduction to computers that has lasted me a lifetime. I even found a certificate a few years ago that stated I was my schools computer lab manager in 1985. I fondly remember Sticky...

Building dual tube (PVS31) Nods.
The green is my first set of gen 2, the white phosphorus is my 2nd set of gen 3 build. Way better, not the simplest but not the worst thing to learn. Hella cool when you get it right

Re: Inexpensive Airbrush kit - Beginner Level
I did a few guitars, both were plain-Jane black finish originally, some damage, nicks, gouges and scratches to be repaired...did the blue one for myself and the orange fade for my daughter. I painted and initialed the headstock on mine, too. I upgraded the electronics and did the "Gilmour wirin...

Re: Inexpensive Airbrush kit - Beginner Level
Very nice, I'm not a fan of boring white pickguards...both of the guitar pickguards I showed before were painted with SEM Trim Black, then dusted with some metallics before clearcoating.

Re: So You're Into RC Cars. WTF Else Do You Do?
My interactions with computers were mainly at schools until '95 when we got our first home computer. It was a DFI (Diamond Flower Inc) with a Cyrix 686 processor, and 14.4k modem. I would have loved to be a part of the BBS era but alas, I was a bit too young. I did catch the very tail end of it thou...

Re: RC10 40th Anniversary boxart - Striped Decals vs Painted Stripes
Hey guys. Just joining the conversation here as I'm about to paint the body for my fr-01. I'm wondering what the consensus is regarding cutting out the windshield or any of the windows to promote airflow? I'm old school just getting back into the hobby and back in the day I had my esc mounted on th...

Re: RC10 40th Anniversary boxart - Striped Decals vs Painted Stripes
A sticker applied to this curved area of the body just won't go perfectly flat, unless the entire sticker is meticulously designed to completely wrap around from one side to the rear to the other side, taking into account the curvature. https://img2.associatedelectrics.com/pictures/cars_and_trucks/R...

Re: RC10 40th Anniversary boxart - Striped Decals vs Painted Stripes
This is one that I did a few years ago. It is a Boki body with MCI decals. Decals applied with Windex and a hair dryer.
The overlapping rear stripes are the real pain.
