Vintage RC10 signed by Halsey & Lett at PCH Hobbies in Lomita, CA
This is my local hobby shop Pacific Coast Hobbies. Been there many times and never noticed this one in a case at the back of the store. Bit of a mashup but it has early production shocks & chassis with the very light anodizing. Never seen this in person. Other early parts inside too (too hard to...

Re: a thread for BambuLab machines
Just a heads up, Bambu is having a nice sale right now. They have the X1C and P1S on sale as well as the A1 and A1 mini. Bambu very rarely has a sale, I picked up a couple more AMS for my existing machines https://us.store.bambulab.com/pages/black-friday-sale?from=navigation_bar Thank you Jeff. Aft...

Re: Tamiya Tyrrell P34 6-Wheeler - 1977 Argentine GP - 2022 Reissue
Thanks for the encouragement! Couldn't leave those mistakes the way I made them, had to try to keep fixing them, and would then ruin another area in the process, it was maddening. I couldn't quite place it, but it sounded like there was a beat/rhythm you were stop-to-stop turning the servo! Could j...

The car looks so good! I have to remind myself; that's not lexan.
A beautiful model of a legend in auto racing. I don't blame you for not running it.

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Incredible! Those look like resin prints. I'm amazed at how far FDM printers have advanced in the past couple years.
I'm also curious; how many rolls of filament have you used so far? I need to place an order and should I get a couple to start or ten or more?

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Less than two spools?? WOW, that's incredible. Looking at everything you've printed, I was gonna guess maybe five or more. Anyway, that's in impressive looking machine. And more importantly, it makes very nice prints. I'm impressed! For material, I'm just fixed on printing ABS. I guess it's because ...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
 what a horrible way to go, ABS poisoning. Mine has the charcoal bag too, but I'm not counting on that. :D ... But you live in California where EVERYTHING is known to the state to cause cancer. Ever heard of Prop. 65? I remember staying at a hotel in LA a while back. Even the door to my ...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
I've had more success with Amazon and ebay than failures, by far. I just ordered the QIDI Rapido PLA in Silver, should have it Friday. Running low on the gray, going to print a few of the last parts for the Manx dune buggy tonight, and then sand the parts, and start painting. https://i.imgur.com/93...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
Ah, okay, thanks for correcting the weight. So, it appears that 1kg is the standard weight but maybe the spool OD isn't a standard. Silvertriple mentioned in another post that he received some filament spools that wouldn't fit his AMS. Anyway, it is what it is. Going back at the image of the chassis...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
I don't know about the qidi version ams but with the Bambu it only keeps the filament dry with dessicant, you really still need a dryer anyway. Also with the Bambu you can't use it (long term anyway) with abrasive filaments so that's the other nice part with the dryer is you can use it for those abr...

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
That 4 spool dryer is very cool.
Hey, is there a good youtube tutorial for OrcaSlicer that y'all can recommend? Perhaps something very basic for a newb like me?

Re: QIDI Plus4 - 3D Printer
If you want a dryer and an AMS then get a food dryer , it's what I use , goes upto 75°C and does nylons and PC just fine if you give it enough time , I wouldn't even consider spending big money on a purpose made filament dryer .
