Re: Found some amazing vintage parts!

I do miss the one I had around the corner of my mom's old house tho. They were the best and that's where I first saw the tamiya king cab...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I was watching 2 unusual Checkpoint motors and ended up with one of them. Hopefully someone here got the other and posts up what a gem it is so I can really kick myself for missing it.
This is an oldie but a goodie. It even runs well.

Re: Old school Proline wheels, what plastic are they?
I have put older Pro-line wheels in acetone to remove glue and paint without any issues. Do you submerge them or suspend them above in a sealed container? Two at a time, stacked in a glass container. Bottom one submerged, top in vapor area. Swap every now and then. That set of wheels was in pretty ...

Re: and the graphite finally makes an appearance
Considering they have the same sources as Fan has, and he has no problem getting them, it doesn't make a lot of sense but maybe they are looking for a better price or can't get the quantities.

Re: and the graphite finally makes an appearance
I do have to say the FanRC FR01 really is pretty good if you don't care about it coming from a different source from the same region.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Maybe it just needs a new wing wire made that puts it further back. I think repositioning it would improve the look with the wing.

MIP Legend rere
Eustace will be running the prototype for the continuation of the Legend this weekend. I'll update when I can. Notable differences- the front end is updated with a stronger carrier and hub design. Same front transmission but the slipper is now more like a single pad rulon style slipper and mounted t...

Re: ** Jconcepts Vintage Clash of Champions and Old School Reunion - Hoosier R/C Hobbyplex, New Albany, IN - March 28-30
Yeah the track surface is like a dragstrip with the sealed surface. The layout is awesome. The surface is quite a challenge and super tricky to get right. Long days though with so many entries. Really cool to see these guys you've seen in magazines just hanging out in the pits. Chatting them up is p...
