Yes, the stock battery cup and configuration allows for a full size 2S LiPo, in fact I need to buy a Factory Works shorty battery holder to make that actually fit. I'm only using a shorty for brushless purposes.

Re: Traxxas TRX-3
I haven't driven my TRX-1 or TRX-3 yet, but the TRX-3 looks to me like it got heavier and took a step back from being a pure racer. That's my impression at least based on design impressions. What caused you to think it took a step back from being a pure racer? The addition of the extra plastic from...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
The yellow & black 17 turn "3 slot" Radon 2 motor is not a crawler motor. 3 slot motors that are used for crawlers are usually more turns of smaller gage wire, like 45 or 50 turns. 5 slot motors are typically crawler motors. High torque and low RPM are desired for crawlers. Your Radon ...

It comes in 15, 17, and 19. I have all 3 and have run all 3. This is the 19 turn in my shortened comical RC10:

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
I haven't tried a Factory Works motor yet, but they use the same parts that seem to be industry standard now (including Radon 2) for brushed motors. The price is good, and the dyno and break-in are pretty cool too. The guy that sells them seems passable as an ok person too.

Traxxas Bandit
In 1995 Traxxas completely wound down their racing program to focus on entry level vehicles when they replaced their last 1/10 2wd electric racing buggy, the TCP, with the Bandit. Bearing only a passing resemblance and retaining precious few components with its racing buggy predecessors the Bandit s...

Re: Playtron Lynx & Dorbeman - let's CAD again :)
Now the chassis are almost done, looking at the bodyshell, it's quite simple : mostly flat panels... I started to put the data in for the profile line... https://i.imgur.com/VlEKCo2.jpeg Then, I assembled some surfaces together... https://i.imgur.com/Q2OEaRu.jpeg And soon, I had a bodyshell... Re: Battery question for the RaeRe RC10 40th and DS
2s is your voltage basically, a 2s is 7.4v (rated, 8.4 or so fully charged). The C rating is how fast it can discharge. Not really a consideration for the speed control. It's a consideration for the motor choice. Think of it as larger fuel line- if you are running an engine that doesn't need all tha...

Re: Battery question for the RaeRe RC10 40th and DS
The battery doesn't force power through the esc, the esc regulates the power. The motor and esc will take what they want. A battery CAPABLE of discharging faster than the power requirement shouldn't cause any issue. To a certain point, the esc might function better. 1060's are known for going into l...

Re: Ultimate Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide (Discussion Topic)
sandkil used a NOS Bud's motor in an insane speed run build a while back and it had a white label too, but I can't see the writing on it. That doesn't mean the motors were always done the same though. "This little label is different! You'll never work at Bud's again!!! You're fired!!!" . 1...
