Re: Why asymetric steering bellcranks?
From the man himself. "The JRX2 originally only had a flexible steering arm as a servo saver (not such a great idea). I wanted it to be as long as possible to reduce the strain (more travel) when hit. Since the arms were offset only one could be that long. I would do many things differently in ...

The actual issue was consistency of product. The brass gear didn't always get pressed on the to the shaft at th...

1985 IFMAR Race Report from Japan with stunning photos
I was lucky to get this vintage RC book in my collection recently. The report and photos report of the first-ever 1985 IFMAR world champion race is simply amazing to me. I came across a PDF of the photos on the internet a while back, blown away by the quality of the color photos. In the 1980s Japan ...

Re: LXT Front Shock Towers A-1015 variation
Found this out while tearing down a parts truck. It appears later on in the production cycle Losi modified the LXT camber link locations on the front shock tower. A1014 for the Pro SE had running changes as well. Here are the three camber link versions that I know of. I have compared it to the Jamm...

1985 IFMAR Offroad 1/10 World Championships
I traveled to Del Mar in July of 1985 to attend the first 1/10 scale off road championships. I had a 35mm SLR camera and took 50+ pictures. Some good, some not so good. The pictures were on display in my hobby shop until I closed it in the early 90's. If you want to take a look I have them in an alb...

Re: The Original 1987 winning Kyosho Ultima up close
Original body pictures. According to Akira, Kent Claussen (12th scale racing legend) was the TRINITY logo design creator. Claussen was also the owner of the LAVco company. Akira's friendship with Kent led to the use of the classic vintage stickers enjoyed on the reissue model today.
