Re: Losi XXT Restoration Project

Lunsford Ti hinge pins installed with brass shims on all the hinges. KNK stainless screw set installed. NOS motor plate and Factory Works motor centering kit installed. Gotta start on the paint now but super happy with the mechanical part of the build. This is my first restoration and it was just as...

Re: Prototype 870c Romsey Worlds ‘87

Glad you like them. An old RC journalists has sent me his personal photo album from the event so I have really great quality pictures of most of the top cars. An absolute treasure.

Re: Vulgar Display Of Power (updated pics 4/3)

Wheels and tires are in relatively good shape, so I just cleaned them with a Mr. Clean eraser. I've been down the rabbit hole of replacing wheels and tires enough to know it'll have the bank on you like flies on a rib roast.

Re: Getting the big Fairlane back on the road.... Going the whole 9 inches

Not sure if I posted anything about these earlier or not but this is also something I've been working on and off for the last 10 years as well  To go along with my mag wheels and stock steel wheels/hub caps I also picked up a set of Fairlane Sportsman wheels to give myself options. I wouldn't s...

New Build - NIB B2 Japan Export

Good morning, everyone! I ended up snagging a NIB RC10 B2! This was a Japanese export, so I'm excited to see if there are any differences from the domestic kits. I'm going to kill half of what I paid to build this thing, but I can't resist. The RC10 B2 was my second ever hobby grade kit, being gifte...

Re: Cliff Lett RC10 bodied CAT XL - Romsey ‘87

The driveshafts have been flipped on the Masami car to move the one way rollers to just outside the diff rather than down by the wheel to reduce the unsprung weight. Common practice in the UK club scene. It is hard to see in this picture but if you go on to the House of RC website they have shameles...

Re: New Build - NIB B2 Japan Export

Ok. It's been awhile, but my memory doesn't agree with John's comment. I don't recall him specifying to me that you just "tossed in some period correct tires". I was led to believe that Jap kit came with different tires. I wouldn't intentionally mislead a buyer by not specifying this if it...

Re: New Build - NIB B2 Japan Export

Listen, it's a bit of a bummer that I don't have the correct tires, but I don't regret the purchase either way. When dealing with unsealed vintage products there's always the chance that something won't be correct. The buyer certainly has some responsibility to verify what they're purchasing. I aske...
